Jared Kushner on Ukraine: The difference between somebody saying the right thing and then doing the right thing is that those are two different things. But if they’re not saying the right thing — that they want to get to that — then you have no chance of getting to the actual right thing. At least for now, the Russians are saying the right thing, which is that they want to discuss a way to resolve this.

Astonishing admission from Ollie Ilott, the Director General for AI in the British government. He says you wouldn't want an opt-out from AI training to be too easy to use, because the primary goal would be to get more work for AI companies to train on 🤯 Let that sink in. This is an admission that the opt-out the government proposed wasn't really about giving creatives control. That was a charade. It was the opposite - it was *intended* to ensure some missed the chance to opt-out, and to maximise the free handout to AI companies. This is a huge admission to make, and shows the government is fully aware of how unfair on creatives an opt-out would be. They should definitively rule out moving to an opt-out model.

A woman and her husband went to the store to get an Apple gift card for $100. After they got it, they had tried to use it for their iPhone. The opened the package and got the card out, the last few digits on the back of the card are missing and she couldn’t use it. She goes back to the store and speaks to customer service about a refund. Customer service claims they can’t do anything about it because there are no refunds on gift cards and they need to call the company the card is for. She then pulls a few of the same cards off of the display and opens them in front of customer service and proves to them that they all have the same issue. This does look like the card was manufactured defectively and the customer service rep acknowledged it, but why are they leaving it on the shelf for other people to buy it and be ripped off?

These two guys were on their way to their fishing spot. They came to a stop sign at the same time as this bicyclist and blew through his stop sign and didn’t stop. When the men passed him they yelled at him for not stopping. So this guy followed them to their fishing spot. The two men exchange pleasantries and the guy on the bike tells them he never stops and they shouldn’t be yelling at him or anyone. The one man tells him he is just like everyone else and he has to obey the traffic laws. At one point the guy on the bike tells the two men he can take them both in a fight. The one man walks off to go fishing. 😳 The guy on the bike does not have the right of way. Bicyclists are like automobiles and must follow all traffic laws. Biker fatigue is real. 💯 So who do you side with? Who is the real moron? 🤔
