As a person who is half white, there is white privileged. To white people im not white and to non white people im am white. So there is racism. I have dealt with the both sides of white privileged, based on how other people see me.

Not that I believe in white privilege, but it's also true that some (not all) law enforcement officers do look at skin color - especially border patrol. Now I know this is merely anecdotal, but I'll give an example. I had been travelling cross country with my mom and her car broke down ending out trip early. It was going to be at least a week, so we drove back from Oklahoma to New Mexico in a rental. As it put a damper on things, I returned back to work ending my vacation time. I had a friend go out with my mom to go pick up her car and while they were passing through Texas, they were pulled over. My friend is hispanic and my mom is very obviously white. He wasn't speeding or breaking any laws at all. They had my mom and he get out and the separated them. They kept asking my mom if she was safe and they kept pushing to verify the story as to what they were doing and where they were going. One of my best friends was racially profiled in that moment. Had he been white like my mom, he would not have been pulled over. It doesn't mean all white people are privileged. It doesn't mean every cop is a racist. It doesn't mean it's system wide. But at the end of the day, there are exceptions. The number is greater than zero. We shouldn't pretend those experiences don't exist. We shouldn't let people feel like it didn't happen to them, because we can't bridge the gap while making people feel like they aren't heard.
