@AssoARRA the venue staff also wore masks from soundcheck to curfew, and were super understanding. i made a speech on stage to talk about the pandemic, long covid, and the lack of accessibility in music spaces.

@AssoARRA my best friend drew illustrations for these posters, that we put everywhere outside and inside the venue:

@AssoARRA the audience was, for the most part, not covid conscious people. just regular fans, coming to listen to my music. this is proof that with the right communication, concert goers are perfectly capable of protecting artists and understanding the issue of accessibility in music!

@AssoARRA outside the venue, we set up a table with @MaskBlocParis with a choice of KN95s of different sizes, shapes and colors. the amazing people from the mask bloc explained to the concert goers how to put on KN95s!

@AssoARRA i didn’t imagine it would be be such a success! no masks under chins, no reluctant people, just a fully masked crowd of about 100 people who understand the importance of protecting artists and the audience.

@AssoARRA thank you to everyone who supported me in these last two months of organizing & preparation 🤍 can’t wait to do this again!

@AssoARRA i still lost a fair amount of money, but to me it was all worth it, it turned out to be even better than i could have hoped for. i wish venues would accommodate mask requirements for artists so i wouldn’t have to organize this all alone and rent a whole venue by myself!

@AssoARRA i also want to address the fact that i’m not wearing a mask on stage before people point it out! i know some artists choose to do so. LC dysautonomia makes it hard for me to sing with a mask on & i find it really alters the sound quality. i always PCR-test before shows!
