This is an extremely eloquent monologue from Luton boss Rob Edwards. He’s spot on in that a large number of “pundits” have written Luton off without a thought and done no homework as to the way they approached the summer window. All power to them.

Also, Luton literally aren’t destined to go down?? They’ve looked far better than Sheffield United and significantly better than Bournemouth and Burnley

I said back in the summer I fancied them to give it a solid shot and got told I was “interaction farming” 😂

We are so lucky to have this man as manager. To be honest, aside from Graeme Jones, we have recruited managers well for a number of years.

The more ‘Luton Town’ stories we get the better. They are in the top flight by right. They have earned their place and proven to everyone else in the Football League they can get there too. It’s the definition of what sport is all about.

I think he make a really point, they do deserve respect for their achievements and he acknowledges that now they are in the Premier League they are going to be judged accordingly. I wish Luton well.

I remember when Brighton were promoted and every single pundit predicted them for immediate relegation. Never did their homework, and just wrote them off because they couldn't spend hundreds of millions. Luton still have every chance of staying up and hope they do.

His main point isn't about them being written off. It's the Garth crooks slur about not taking the seriously. That is totally disrespectful and needs calling out.

They haven't lost by much to the lower half of the table (apart from Chelsea). Reckon they'll get better soon enough and might even be a surprise survivor this season

Was a while back & certainly not the kind of money in the league there is now, but Swansea got promoted through the playoffs with one of the smaller c'ship budgets. Spent about 7m on 8 players that summer. Finished 11th. Stayed around for 7 years. Rooting for Luton personally.

Was impressed with them on Saturday. The big lad up front and the number 7 caused us all sorts of problems. We couldn’t deal with their set plays and in the second half they shut up the game superbly.
