At first glance, this ship appears to be in the middle of a disaster, but the visual is actually a display of high-level maritime engineering. This vessel is purposefully designed to submerge its main deck deep underwater to facilitate the transport of massive, heavy-lift cargo that traditional cranes simply cannot handle. The Xin Guang Hua is a state-of-the-art semi-submersible vessel operated by COSCO Shipping. This lift, known to locals as “The Gambler” was installed 3 years ago and had to do rope evacuations the first 2 seasons stranding gusts for 45+ minutes. Whitefish Mountain Rsort and Leitner Poma released a video last year stating it was fixed with replaced parts boards etc. It just shut down again last Sunday for 20+ minutes in heavy snow which is always when it shuts down. At this point… it’s not even up for discussion that the lift is a major problem with ongoing engineering problems. Lift Blog had zero interest in the information provided but he’ll tell you about tariffs!🤡🤖
