This is beautiful. We always think of the Mom missing the affection from when kiddos were little. I’m sure fathers miss it just as much. The dads who immediately started patting & rocking, muscle memory kicked in. 🥹 Kudos to the dads who immediately put that phone down. My... show more

This made me really miss my Dad. I just lost him in February. I'm nearly 50, and I know I am blessed for having him as long as I did, but it still really hurts that he's gone.

I’m sorry for your loss. I never knew my dad like this. My mom was my dad.

I'm sorry that you never knew your Dad, I get how hard that is. I have had to be both Mom and Dad to my Son. My own Dad, he was one of a kind. A jokester, a carpenter, and one heck of a mechanic. I knew how to be a Dad because of him, even though I'm a woman. It's so strange being without him. Thank you for your condolences.

Thanks for the kind words. Strong mom if you are doing what my mother had to do. Much respect for you.

Well, my Son is a grown man now. He has his own family, and is a really great Father. I'm very proud of the man he's become. Thank you for the respect! I'm sure your Mom is very proud of you as well.

I love seeing men being affectionate. I'm a touchy feely person and believe in the power of touch.

Me too Suzanne

I would give anything to give my mom and my dad just one more hug!! At 56yo I am an orphan and I feel it every day!

So tough to be on our own without our parents . I’m so sorry

I don't have the words.

I feel you Mike, I do. 👊🏻

If only young people realized how much parents love this. Do it while you can. Many people don't have moms and dads.

Having to cross a wet courtyard with my dad and only one pair of shoes available, I picked him up and carried him across. He nearly started crying. Nobody had picked him up since he was a little kid. The need to hold and be held never goes away.

I never got to sit on my dad’s lap…he died when I was a toddler. My mom was an addict and mean. I have no memory of any affection from her. My stepdad was ok but avoidant emotionally. Thank God for my affectionate grandparents, aunts and uncles!

Too right, love this. Muscle memory is real, and it’s lovely to see dads step in and put their phones down. Any tips for encouraging new dads to be more present?

If you have a great dad- be just like your dad. And if you didn’t have a dad or had a lousy one, be the dad that you always wished you had. 👊🏻

Finally a Pro-Dad trend! Make it grow, we need more strong and faithful men, and those can only from from caring and courageous fathers

My kids are in their 30s and they still want cuddles, they will always be my babies.

I love it. I tell my kids every day that I love them and give them a hug and kiss

If I tried that shit with my dad

I miss my dad. I wish I could do this challenge with him. 😢

Me too. Wish I had a dad like that where I could, but, I am that dad that would do this with my kids

@SirFlyzalot I still climb onto my dad’s lap. He’s my dad. He’s my hero. He’s the best man in the whole entire world.

If my son crawls in my lap his azz will be the first thing hitting the floor. It means he’s up to sumthin 😂😂😂

😆😆😆

There you go making me cry again! 😭 So sweet!

One of the sweetest ones I’ve seen MM

Any time one of my grown boys want a hug or a cuddle, you bet they get one. Hell, if my back wouldn’t give out on me, I’d toss them on the bed like I did when they were little.

Give us a chance and we have the emotional capabilities of any human. Rarely afforded that space tho.

An internet "challenge" that's actually beneficial, wholesome and based on love? More of these would be a great thing. Both parents gone. I'd give anything to hug them again. As I cared for my dying mom, I hugged her several times a day. One day it was the last time. 😢

@ColorApril We’re never too old to show our kids how much we love them. It comes back tenfold.

@ColorApril I agree Mary. We are never too old.

My husband was very sick with cancer a few years ago and I remember my FIL sitting on the hospital bed hugging my husband like this. I realized that he is such a great dad because he had such a great dad and no matter what happened the kids and I would be ok because of them.

Dad's been gone now 11 years. Would love the opportunity to do this just one more time.

Who's cutting onions? 🥹

How beautiful and I’d give anything to cuddle my Dad and Mum again. As you said the muscle memory of how they hold, pat and rock melted me. ❤️

I would give anything to be able to cuddle with my Dad. I did when he was alive. I hope people with their Dads see this and accept this challenge. My Dad was quite ornery and stern but always loved snuggling with me.

Most of these were so sweet, except for the 2-3 dads who wouldn't put their phones down. Kudos to these loving dads. My father would have just literally pushed me and siblings away/off of him.

My 20-year-old daughter will still fall asleep in my lap if I can sit down long enough. Moments like this with my son (14) are more rare these days, but still happen here and there.

I Miss my dad. He passed 4 years ago. He gave the best hugs. I was blessed to have extra time with him in his last year helping with his care.

@EarthsSH 😭🙏🏾

Dads!

It's the kid at :24, who moves his dad's leg out of the way, like..."I need to occupy this space right now, cause I need my dad to hold me"!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Got me right in the feels!

I always say if dont miss having a baby but I miss my babies they are older and independent and even though they are still around it makes me sad I cant just pick them up and rock them like I used to

@JessCAGrl4Life5 Absolutely Love this! 🫶🏼

You have no idea. Mine are 13 and 15. Me and mom are divorced. They live with her but come over all the time for different stuff. They only live 10 min away but barley call. It has to be the age.
