I don’t even like horse racing but I miss the late Queen. This is such a charming clip. It just has not been the same without her. Again, I miss her.

Bless her - she would have been a farmers wife, with loads of horses and dogs, leading a quiet happy country life. What a loss she is.

She had such a wonderful smile. And her knowledge of horses was unmatched.

There was a story about the Queen walking somewhere in England with a companion. Two American tourists asked to take a photo, and she was happy to agree. Then they said they'd really like to meet the Queen, and asked her companion if he'd ever met her. He answered, truthfully, yes. After they left, the Queen laughed and said, "Won't they be surprised when they shoe their friends?"

The country went to pot when she died

Her mum was the ultimate horse racing gambler though. Noone topped the queen mother's legendary race days, in amount gambled or alcohol drank. If you remember you knew. Never surpassed to this day.

We used to be a great country...losing her was a massive lurch towards the alternative

I also loved the way she called her mother “Mummy.” I think it shows how close they were.
