My son is nearly 16, he probably couldn't be bothered to vote at this age but does not have the knowledge about politics yet or enough experience in the world yet. He is too young, so completely agree.

Nice try. European Parliament elections this year will be 16+. Belgium has just reduced its voting age to 16. This is the direction of travel in many Western countries.
