Many students from across the country missed their NEET exams yesterday as the NTA under Dharmendra Pradhan didn’t allow students even if they were just 5-10 min late. 2-3 students missed in Karnataka also missed their exam and Congress govt has formed a panel to look into it and assist them. The building is in Khasta condition, and the school is being run from a Dharamshala, a place where wedding guests and baraats stay. And this school is in Sangrur, Bhagwant Mann’s constituency. CJP activists are quick to say about Rajasthan, “We won’t allow schools to run in Tabela.” So why are they silent about Punjab? Why don’t they say, “We won’t allow schools to run in dharamshalas where baraats stay”?

I was absolutely privileged to visit the govt school in Medipallikalan, near Parigi. It is the best run govt school I have seen in Telangana. The credit goes through the Village and the school principal Kajha Mohiddin. He worked in the same school for 14 yrs and involve the entire village to make it a success. When he was transferred, the whole village protested in front of the collectrate and got him back. Public education system/Govt. Schools in Telangana is totally destroyed. The previous TG govt killed and the present govt is unable to revive it. In the past a majority used to go to govt schools Add few to private schools. It is the opposite now. The community needs to get involved and the community needs to be empowered to have a say in the running of the govt schools. The Medipallikalan Govt. School model needs to be replicated. I want to make at least 50 schools in my constituency, like this one.

As long as it is the students who are protesting and their protest is against the irregularities and mishaps in the NEET exams, the protests are totally valid. But the moment fringe elements creep in with ulterior motives, neither the state nor the centre should remain silent, It needs to be curbed. The recent developments have only shown that apart from the campaigns against NEET, its is slowly turning into side campaigns against Article 370 abrogation, slogans chanting de*th of the Prime Minister and staging a Nepal types rebellion. It is obvious that someone else trying to hide behind the student campaigns and achieve their objective. People like Arivu who kept quite during the DMK Govt are now suddenly jumping in to protest at a place that is not allowed for protests. The TVK Govt was polite enough to even have a discussion with him when he actually went against the law.
