A friend inherited 2.5 acres of land that was way overgrown like that. I recommended the same thing. They work great.

Kudzu can grow a foot a day. We should be using it as a bio fuel, to build houses, to make clothes... ๐Ÿ˜…

This is literally the reason Kudzu was brought to the United States in the first place, as animal feed.

Kudzu was brought to the US as a "wonderplant" in 1876. Just another wonderful project brought to you by the government. I think I'd keep goats on staff. They do a wonderful job. Be warned! They will eat anything and everything. Even your trees up to 2 goats high.

I believe this is Stephen's crew from Goats on the Go in Raleigh. They have some before/after pics (but agreed, would love to see the after for this one!)

I met some folks who rented their goats out for lawn care like this and they made a ton of money.

That's awesome. I usually spray it with deisal and let it soak in and kill the commie bastards. Goats however would definitely solve my problem in my ravine.

Goats are great for this. We had goats and an old orchard as I was growing up. Goats ate all the stuff growing around and up the trees, including the poison ivy. Of course they also ate our raspberry patch down to the ground and it never recovered ๐Ÿ™ So use caution!

I always said they need to get goats. Rent them to the state to get it off the freeways.

@mia_trently That kudzu grows about a foot a day. Some serious foliage. I believe it was imported to help feed livestock many years agoโ€ฆ

Hahahahaha!!! This will not do anything but feed the goats. Kudzu is way harder to get rid of than anything a few goats could do.
