The other guy agreeing with Pete isn't even taking the obvious path. Trump stupidly promised to bring PRICES down, not just inflation. Keep it simple.

Trump actually said he'd bring PRICES down. Biden had already brought inflation down. To the extent Trump can take credit for it, from Jan. '25 to Jan. '26, the CPI, *for all items*, fell from 3.0% to 2.4%. Since then, according to early March '26 data, it has increased to 3.3%.

@atrupar I’m always amazed when any network puts Pete on the air with the intention of having an adversarial conversation. He is so good at this but these networks keep leading their lambs to the slaughter.
