Businesses went along with racial segregation in New York because the economic and social penalties for defying the system were financially devastating. Even if a business owner personally disagreed with racism, the institutional pressures of the time made integration a massive risk to their survival. Quit pretending like 2026 is 1960. Our country is perfect but we have damn sure made progress. If you call out Trump then you better call out all the rest of them too. Joe Biden and his “racial jungle” comment in 1977 while fighting against bussing essentially wanting schools to remain segregated. George Bush opposed the Civil Rights Act in 1964, Hilary Clinton called black people super predators in 1996 and Robert Byrd was her mentor.

While Donald Trump was in business with his father, it was his father, that employees another accused of not wanting to rent to minorities, and it wasn’t because of skin color. It was because housing with minorities tended to bring rent down. However terrible that may be, it’s just a fact. Trump himself has done tons of things for the black community. Just since he’s been in office, he has implemented criminal justice reform (releasing thousands of unfairly sentenced minorities out of prison), HBCU funding & support, he had the lowest black poverty & unemployment rate in history, created an opportunity zone program for the benefit of minorities, and so much more. And that’s just while he was in office. Before that, he was known to work with & hire minority owned businesses. This is a big reason why many well known minority figures loved him. And not to mention all the minorities who came out of the woodwork in support of Trump, with stories of things he quietly did for them over the years while the media and the left were all of a sudden bashing him as a racist. They loved him before he decided to run as a Republican, and that’s a fact! The majority of MLK’s family also knows & supports him. There’s literally so much we could get into here. Maybe it’s time you realize you’ve been fed a narrative because the elite doesn’t like the political party Trump chose to represent. And maybe do a little research, although you’ll have to dig hard because the left has done its very best to cover up anything good Trump Has ever done and like I said, there’s tons of stories that we haven’t even heard of because Trump never bragged or boasted about who he chose to silently help.
