Christianity is a religion of imperfection and aspiration. People on the outside confuse imperfection with hypocrisy, but Christianity is a religion of trying to do better, not a religion of absolute Christ like behavior.

Very True - Deep inside we don't want to truly give up our sin - during the prayer we know the truth and you did something amazing and GOD will stay right with you as you go Hand in Hand with Jesus at the foot of the cross

This is exactly where I am in my journey to Faith and Chris. I know there is something not good for me that I do, and even though I know it’s wrong and say I need to stop, I have trouble actually following through—not because I don’t want to. It’s fear after 46 years of living without God by my side. So I completely understand where Theo is coming from and am praying for him as well. (And I’m not speaking about anything illegal. I am speaking about drinking sugary sodas and not taking care of my body properly.) 🙏🏻🥹🫶🏼

Accountability is 90% of the battle. Once you assume responsibility for your actions and stop playing the blame game there is no more water for that tree to grow.

I live in a small town in SW Kansas. I’m 49 lived here all my life pretty much. One thing is consistent, is scandal and gossip. There’s only so much healthy fun a person can have. We’ve developed a cushion in the local legal system to account for the inevitable. But one thing is for sure. It wasn’t always this bad as it had been in recent years. There used to be years where everyone did pretty good by themselves. Now, it’s rare occasions we have any peace to enjoy or victory to celebrate. More and more people end up babbling about mystical experiences found in a bottle or a pill or a powder. The thing is, it’s natural to seek the key to the divine understanding. Modern society is finding its keys in the wrong ways and end up trapped seeking the spirit of true freedom the soul remembers from its inception, and so we walk around sharing two realities, the one we can only speak of, and the one we can’t speak of. It’s crazy to know there is a lot more going on between you and your neighbors than you can articulate, simply because the liquor store was having a sale last week.

This is surrender! Awesome. Also few of us realize that our outward sins come for a much deeper brokenness. Sometimes the behavior stays around so God can deal with the deeper issues if we let Him.

How can you not love Theo? Brows Shapiro should be ashamed of himself for attempting to delegitimize a man that speaks from the heart! Theo is one of the most genuine folks to do it! Go max Rat King!!! We love you!

You have to change the way you see god.. you need to first find the strength in your heart, and give thanks to him for the things you have or have not done today.. ive been down a dark road and only through gratitude and forgiveness did i make it through.. you are never alone

He's describing the depth of human depravity. Truly without the Holy Spirit, we are not capable on our own. That is why I don't understand how others can claim that they are a "good" person. There is none that's good enough to earn heaven.
