Unfortunately, we have Kenyan NGOs that are the enablers to this western mindset. They perfected the art of marketing ''woieee stories'' to western donors so that they can send more $ £ € to save Mama mboga! #WeThe99 understand our issues & have solutions to them. @KenyaFIA

She’s 💯% correct Kenya 🇰🇪 is driven by western interests through global financial institutions & NGO’s that obviously prioritize their issues. It’s a very stealthy form of colonialism! We get distracted by political games! Mwai Kibaki unshackled us from it & Uhuruto restored it!

True. "Scared of Knowledge." And also ... Taking ownership of that NEW knowledge/thought. One of the scariest things is the RESPONSIBILITY of bearing new knowledge and seeing it to FRUITION. But once done, its a truly TRANSFORMATIVE experience.

Great insight future leaders should embrace this mindset. Breaking away from the Neocolonial system is not a debate we should be having but a decision we have to make without hesitation.

(1) Many years ago, I noticed that the reports and recommendations of the UN were meant to deceive you. (2) I also noticed that Africans were attaching their name to these reports just to have a good job. (3) So the problem is who controls the incentives Kenyans or the West.

She definitely knows next nothing about Traore he is just another despot someone who is determined to cling to power through destruction of institutions etc he will go down the same way other despots like Mobutu,Idi Amin did stories about development he has done are all untrue

@JerotichSeii I’m gonna need Prof Njoya to drop a Substack, we’re ready to learn and listen.

@wmnjoya is always spot on 💪

@LionsoftsavoKe

We entertained mediocrity in governance and civil service. We forgot to reward excellence but mediocrity. Resetting our software i.e. mentality, is only way forward. The west they embraced mediocrity and you can clearly see it in it's decline leadership and diplomacy quality

🔥🔥🔥 100% ! The why, why, why,why question. Therein lies the answer, therein at every why is the assumption!

as long as we waiting for that white guy to fall from the sky and take us to glory.. uu mtondo hatujitoi any soon

@MaryK2022 Of couse Kenyans don’t think. It has been political policy to discourage thinking since the 1980’s. The IMF said, Kenya needs basic education not higher education. Moi said, that works for me! And the strategies he used to strangle higher education have been policy since then.

I agree with you Prof, but isn't lumping all 'Kenyans' an injustice, and isn't she a Kenyan? Or it only applies to other 'Kenyans' excluding her, the lone voice in the wilderness?

@duchessofkabete Mwalimu @wmnjoya is killing us here.. Gosh. Speaking of holding a mirror so forcefully in our collective face. And in our accent too. We have brilliant people on this lend.... But alas... Kafogo is the one in charge of our AI.. 🙄

Prof, it's quite unfortunate that the powers that be are impervious to the basic logic.

Kenya's problems are corruption and lack of political good will.

And it's not rocket science...

This is so true 💯

Tinubu and APC left the group chat 😔.

10000% Those of us who are anti-imperialist are looked at like we have 2 heads. What she’s describing pertains even to the prominent activists and influencers right on this platform.. They’re lackeys 4 @WorldBankGroup @IMFNews & @USTreasury policy even while yelling “freedom”

Basically as Africans we need to stop being afraid to THINK for ourselves

@RwandaWomen

This would make sense if good Prof wasn't an echochamberist afraid of contratry thoughts, and her fighting every pro poor agenda currently being advanced despite visible upliftment.

💯

Wooww.... well said, well put. Kabisaaaa prof

@CyrilRamaphosa listen to her

@XivTroy Thank you, Prof. Njoya. It’s time Kenyans heard the truth. Indeed, it is the Age of Information. Kenyans need to know: Whose laws? Where is the moral obligation to obey such laws? Which government? Why IMF & WB? Why innocent until proven guilty? Implementing isn’t the problem.

Very true

Kenyans are brilliant. However, they lost confidence in the political class a long time ago. Unless there is a reset, the contemptuous attitude will continue to be pre-eminent in the minds of all Kenyans. We need a new beginning based on trust and human decency

God sent man facts

@ProfPLOLumumba

Ibrahim Traore hasn't done anything truly remarkable yet

@mugiirandubi @skmusyoka @edwinsifuna Kenya needs to be Fixed. Let us do away with MAMAMBOGA MENTALITY that is ruling Kenya currently. Listening 🎶 to this insightful comments.
