This is definitely a challenging storm for the Yarbo. Going down the driveway isn't an issue, but coming back up the incline (the house is about 40-feet higher than the street) is giving it a workout and draining the battery faster than it did during the last storm. The... show more

We're nice and warm inside; the fireplace is crackling and we're watching the Olympics closing ceremonies while the driveway is being cleared. The Yarbo automonous snow blower is really awesome. It's charging up now, which takes about an hour. But it'll be back to work once the battery is at 80%

Autonomous Snow Blower Update: The Yarbo completed the first pass of the driveway and went back to the charging dock. After about 1.25hrs, it will be 80% charged and will automatically return and continue to clear the driveway. I plan to run it during the entirety of the storm and will post my review video on this week. So far, it's kicking A$$!

If they would have raised the bucket higher than the elephant the elephant would have retreated. The elephant was sizing up the machine and seen it was about the same height so Mama wasn't going to stand down but if the raised it the elephant would have seen it was bigger the itself. Elephants are a lot smarter than you think

Oh WOW. Erie County Exec on snow removal in Buffalo: "The mayor's not going to be happy to hear about it, but storm after storm after storm after storm, the City, unfortunately, is the last one to be open. And that shouldn't be the case. It's embarrassing to tell you the truth."

The world as we've known it has been running on basically the same operating system for billions of years. Now in the space of a few years everything's speeding up faster than ever before. Compute and intelligence are accelerating faster than institutions, regulations, and the old social order can absorb. So it all feels like it's coming apart. Politics, geopolitics, media, trust in the old systems… They’re too slow for the speed the world runs at now. It feels like destruction but it's construction. The old applications are composting down, and the new system is being built on top. This is the biggest fourth turning of all time. The compute got faster, so the world is getting faster. It's all gone exponential. Real Vision

Threadguy explains why everyone will pretend they didn't see the Saylor blowup coming "Let's say this thing really does blow up. Saylor death spirals, the whole thing comes apart. Economists are going to look back years from now and say, wow, the people of the 2020s were so retarded, how did they not see this coming? And the answer is everybody did." "People thought it was a good investment, but the ones who thought that took the stance of, they have enough cash for a year or two and then we get out. It's going to end terrible, it's a bad idea, but for six, maybe twelve months it's going to be great. It's free money for a year and then it blows up, and by then it's not my problem." "So they'll look back and ask how these guys were dumb enough to fund the whole stretch thing, but in reality everybody knew. The people buying it knew, the people selling it knew, the people on the sidelines knew, the people that wanted to buy it knew. I feel like everybody had the same stance on this. It was more or less, I don't know how it's going to blow up, but it's not going to end well. It's going to be fine for six months. To me, that was the perspective."

NEWSNATION: Grocery inflation is up, so it still costs people a lot to go to the store. When is that going to change? BROOKE ROLLINS: The cost of groceries is actually coming down. There was a little blip at the end of the year because it's the holiday and a lot of people are spending a lot more money at the grocery store.

The little guy gave it its best. It worked furiously all night but in the morning it started to warm up and the snow turned into slush - and that's this things Achilles Heel. The chute keeps jamming up when it's taking in a lot of slush. I cleared it 5-6 times before sending it back to the charging dock in defeat. The 12" to 18" drifts this Nor'easter dumped on us ended up being too much for the Yarbo to do my large driveway. I'll have the full review video up on in a few days.

🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷 Three tankers hit near the Strait of Hormuz in a matter of day, and somehow it's barely making the news. Professor Robert Pape says this isn't a one-week story but the opening act of a "gathering storm," with Iran allegedly behind a wave of strikes the West keeps shrugging off. "They're simply not giving it the attention it deserves and that's going to set up for some pretty big surprises going forward." Robert A. Pape

CoinDesk President Dave LaValle on the questions every investor should be asking about these staking ETPs "What's the charge associated with it, how is that impacting? What is the frequency of the distribution? How is it going to be distributed? Is it going to be cash? Is it going back into the fund? Is it reinvested?" "There's a lot of questions around this. By the way, it's fantastic, and incorporating staking into these ETPs is 100% in my opinion the right way to go about doing it" "But as an investor, you really have got to know how the firm is dealing with it"

🇷🇺 Russian President Vladimir Putin: "Right now, the share of BRICS in world GDP, based on purchasing power parity, stands at 40%, whereas the G7's share is less than 29%. So BRICS has already overtaken the G7, and it did so back in 2020. This is due to the fact that BRICS is going to grow at a steadily faster pace. The pace is greater right now, but this strength is going to persist. The G7 is going to grow, at best, by 1.1% per year, whereas BRICS nations are going to grow by more than 4%. Mark Yusko says Japan showed us the playbook, and now the US is running it "Japan showed us the playbook. The Bank of Japan owns 75% of the bonds, so everyone's worried about rates going up and the big losses. Yes, there are some insurance companies that have big losses and they're going to suffer. But bottom line is, if you own both sides, you just cancel it" "It's kind of like the myth about Chinese debt. Everybody worries that Chinese debt is so high. Well, think about it, the bank is the SOE, the SOE is the SOE, they owe money to themselves. It doesn't really count. So 40% of the quoted number isn't really real" "The same thing is true in Japan. And now we're going to do the same thing, we're going to keep buying our own debt, because no one else wants our debt"
