A Lady Prof at IIT Delhi filed a patent under her name for the work my Sister did in her lab. All the hard work was done by my sister and Prof pretty much stole the whole work. Mails were written but nothing ever happened. So this kind of stuff is quite common, even at IITs.

Dr Ravindra Pandey, IIT Roorkee is also a wife beater. Case in court. Many other students hv been harassed /bullied by him, many hv come forward (check linkedin etc).

If prof in India's top technology institute are doing all this for a name in patent and 72 laks rupees in institute which gets millions from government in funding from taxpayer money what research and development are we expecting in india. @PMOIndia @EduMinOfIndia

“Technical word salad”? Not really. Bio-leaching and bio-refinery processes for e-waste are well-documented in scientific research. Microorganisms are already used to extract metals like copper, gold, and rare elements from low-grade ores and electronic waste. Just because something sounds unfamiliar doesn’t make it fake. Maybe worth checking the science before dismissing it 👍

Before posting anything you should verify facts. Extracting precious metals from e-waste is already developed technology and largely practiced by many e-waste recycling companies. So, to simply gain sympathy, he can't blame others.

This happens in all universities in India. Currently there is an ongoing case where a student is presenting his case against a professor in IIT Bombay but nobody is helping his case as many professors have helped in sabotage and suppressing the aftermath of what has happened.

IF he USED IIT's LAB, then obviously he has to share the patent with the prof/IIT, this is how collaborative research works. Patent is huge thing, even for research paper if someone helps you then you must mention them in authors list else it's serious ethical issue which is taken seriously & even papers get cancelled & researchers get punished for unethical practices. so for keeping patent 100% to himself, this guy let everything get destroyed, so who is selfish here? There is this serious issue in India, even in startup ecosystem, people cling to having 100% of ZERO instead of collaborating & sharing ownership and making a successful product.

Research Funds are released to institute, not student or prof, how can IIT give funds to an outsider who is not working with IIT anymore? It will be illegal.

The why be doesn't get the patent and raise funding outside? If its commercially viable any one would fund. Something is there which he is hidind for sure.

A similar case i heard directly from the victim. She was about to complete her phd in agriculture from Hisar University and had a scholarship from oxford in hand. On time of signing off her thesis her mentor ran away on leave and didn't replied She lost the date of her submission

I think most academics would agree that they feel jealous, insecure, and envious even of their students, let alone colleagues. That is the level of incompetence.
