GPT-5.6 Sol Ultra lost to GPT-5.5 on physics at 3× the cost! We gave 4 models the same prompt: build three self-contained HTML5 canvas scenes with real physics demos Prompts: - A monster truck backflipping onto a parked car - A stunt car jumping six buses into a brick wall - A train derailing off a broken bridge into the water Outputs: GPT-5.6 Sol Ultra: 32.9K tokens, $0.33 Opus 4.8: 9.2K tokens, $0.24 GPT-5.5: 12.4K tokens, $0.11 Grok 4.5: 7.0K tokens, $0.08 Sol Ultra draws just like GPT-5.5, only with more detail and it shows clearest on the bus jump where the two look almost identical. Muse Spark 1.1 is 86% cheaper than GPT-5.6 Sol and 91% cheaper than Fable 5 on output tokens ($4.25 vs $30 vs $50 per M) I thought the model was going to be horrendous, but it ended up being insanely fast, and very capable. front end design is VERY strong. Agentic capabilities seem great as it was able to spawn and even orchestrate other agents inside my app cnvs using the mcp and cli tool with zero instruction. we have soo many insanely good models right now.

Grok 4.5 just built a full macOS-style web OS in one shot and actually crushed it. Single HTML file with embedded CSS + JS. From one prompt it delivered: > macOS menu bar + dock > Draggable and resizable app windows > Functional file explorer > Working terminal + browser mockup > SVG desktop icons + notifications > Settings app with theme switching > Fully functional sound player (real Web Audio synthesis) > Playable games inside the desktop Almost no corrections needed. The working sound system and interactive elements inside the windows is where most models usually fall apart, but this one handled it cleanly. OpenAI Dev Day Just kicked off and it was the biggest day for AI since the launch of GPT-4 in April. Here's a 3 minute video with everything you need to know and a full summary: 1. GPT-4 Turbo is released. It is much better than GPT-4, can accept up to 128k characters and is 3x cheaper. The knowledge cut off is now April 2023 2. Text to Speech is also being released. They offer 6 hyper-realistic voice models that are the best I've heard from any other AI t-t-s software on the market. 3. Copyright Shield. OpenAI will actually defend your legal costs if you get sued for copyright infringement using their API! 4. GPTs. Maybe the most exciting IMHO, you can now create custom "GPTs" by training your own model of GPT and selling it on their store. This will create a massive shakeup of the current AI software landscape and is the first step towards autonomous agents.

The 6174 test! Grok wins! I have 1000s of unique tests I use for AI that few in AI use. I will open source this one. Prompt this and stand back (it burns GPUs something fierce): Prompt: “Explain in detail the 6174 system where you pick 4 numbers arrange them from highest to lowest than on another line from lowest to highest than you subtract, use that result and do the same system again, and by the 4th iteration you will always have the number 6174. Please explain why it works” Few AI platforms can handle this prompt and get it right. I have some variations that will still produce errors on the best AI platforms and cause a loop (it crashed a well known AI platform a few months back, I got a call!). This is not the most complex test I have. I feel strongly that passing the known benchmarks as a measure of an AI’s power is only a small part of if an AI is “better”. Thus I must thank Elon Musk and the entire xAI team for doing the absolute best and astonishing output. Grok it:

Postman's API Network has 100,000+ APIs and they just released a suite of tools for building AI Agents that can automatically discover and connect to any of these APIs. Think about it for a second: You can now build an AI agent that searches the network, discovers an API, processes its documentation, connects to it, and evaluates whether everything worked at the end of the process. This is a huge deal. Every person I know uses the Postman client to work with APIs. Now, they will have access to the AI Agent Builder, a complete suite for designing, building, testing, and deploying agents. I've built a few simple agents myself, and it's tough. The ability to discover and use an API automatically is really exciting (and a huge time saver if it works as promised!) Which LLM reasons best when it doesn't have all the information? Enter LLM Poker Arena to find out. It's a Poker Playing benchmark where top reasoning models play Texas Hold'em poker against each other. Claude Opus 4.5, GPT-5.2, Gemini 2.5 Pro, and Grok 4 all sit at the same table and play full tournaments to see who finishes with the chips. Poker is very different when it comes to reasoning. It has to balance probabilistic reasoning, opponent modeling and make decisions under uncertainty. Poker is an interesting evaluation because it tests reasoning under incomplete information, something most coding benchmarks do not capture. In this tournaments the rules are: - Each LLM starts with $1,000 chips - Small and big blinds start at $25 / $50 - Blinds double every 3 minutes - All models run in their reasoning or thinking modes After the first 5 tournaments: - Claude Opus 4.5 with Thinking has 3 wins - GPT-5.2 has 2 wins - Grok 4 and Gemini 2.5 Pro have 0 wins Early results suggest Claude performs quite well at poker as well. Also five is a very small sample size. Planning to run many more tournaments, publish the full benchmark data and add a prediction market on top of it. Thanks for the suggestion clipz.
