I gave my kids a way to chat with their grandparents via WhatsApp. But without screens! This box lives in their bedroom, they press the massive blue button to record a voice message, and the message is sent to a group with both grandparents. It’s two-way so when the grandparents send a message back, there’s a ringtone (that we chose together) and the kids run to their room to listen. The grandparents even get a “listened” notification with a small headphones WhatsApp reaction. When the kids are away or asleep, the messages queue until their return. There are obviously quiet hours at night. My son and I built this over the past few weeks, iterating on the UX. The kids and grandparents absolutely love it! I love that they are in direct contact without me in the middle and without screens.

I recognize that the Palestinians are experiencing genocide at the hands of Ashkenazi Jews, but I maintain a guarded position in supporting Arab issues. About two weeks ago, I wrote this thread quoted below that detailed the beginning of the current conflict between the Muslim Arabs and the Jewish people in our land. But as I mentioned in this thread, did you know that it was the Arabs that wanted and encouraged the Jews to return to their homeland? Did you know there was an agreement between King Hussein and the Zionist Federation that even states so? Did you know that all the Arabs actually wanted was the lands of Jordan, Syria and Iraq, and NOT what is now Israel? Well there’s a short documentary that was put together by a group of Muslims where they talk about exactly what I wrote below, and detail exactly the facts below. They themselves acknowledge that this is our land and that there should never have been any wars waged against the Jews. How many thousands of Jewish, and Arab, lives were senselessly killed simply because Arab nationalists decided they in fact wanted it all after agreeing differently and getting what they actually wanted? What it shows why you simply cannot negotiate with Islamic terrorists.

Yesterday based on intelligence received Israeli Border Police stopped an automobile driven by an Israeli Arab woman with two young children in the back seat. On inspection they found a Palestinian Arab hiding in the spare tire space in the trunk and another one hiding under the children's blankets in the back seat. The woman was trying to smuggle the two Palestinian Arabs illegally into Israel proper from Judea & Samaria. She tried to pretend that she was unaware of their presence. The incident is recorded below. It turns out that the woman driver shas engaged in numerous similar smuggling incidents in the recent past. This is just one of a myriad of examples of what the Israeli security forces have to face daily on 7 different fronts. (Thanks to Yisrael Medad)

”When Hamas attacked Israel, people went out to celebrate. When Israel started attacking Gaza, the entire Arab and Muslim communities went out on the streets everywhere to say "We need a ceasefire." I immediately thought, ”Why do you care about Arabs getting killed now? When you were completely silent and did not say a single word when hundreds of thousands of Yemenis were getting killed?" The main reason is the perpetrators being Jewish. Because in the Arab and Muslim world, there is absolutely nothing more disgusting than to be Jewish or homosexual. The only thing I ever learned about Jews and Israelis is to hate them. In mosques, I heard that Jews and Israelis need to be murdered. This is the consensus recitation by the Imams. We normalize the language of hatred and violence towards Jews and Israelis. I remember as a child questioning this and thinking to myself, ”But why?” So, I wanted to come here and listen to the Jews and the people. It is such a beautiful country, and the people are so kind and loving. As I see it, the reason for this Arabic hypocrisy of silence when Arabs are killed by other Arabs, and loud revolutions when Gaza is attacked, is anti-semitism. A hatred towards Jews that we learn since birth. Blame the Jews. Blame the others – and direct your anger and resentment towards the Jews and the Westerners, instead of looking internally and trying to better yourselves."

The reason the two-state solution is dead is that, during the 60-year period when the Israeli left held near-complete cultural hegemony and taught kids dance moves to songs like “I Was Born for Peace,” their contemporaries on the Arab side were strapping bombs to their children and sending them to murder Jews. Over the years, the dissonance became to much, and the younger an Israeli, the more right-wing. And sadly for the Arabs of the former British Mandate, Israel is now much much more powerful, and it's a democracy, so they hold a veto. Instead of getting the message and adapting the plan, the Israeli left doubled down and is now irrelevant. Sometimes, history happens.
