I received a call from his brother John Matiang'i, a close friend of mine now serving as a CECM in Nyamira. He was almost crying on phone. I made a tweet then Wahiga Mwaura, who was reading news on Citizen TV, called me (he first texted on X before we exchanged contacts). I linked him to John. This is when Raila Odinga rushed to Karen. Later on, we learnt that Rigathi Gachagua wanted Matiang'i in. He was revenging previous "persecution".
