I've seen this floating around the last couple of days because he published an article. So, before I commented I wanted to go read the thing (which can be found here: I have to say after reading it that I believe it to be mostly on point. There are people such as he describes and I do my best not to conflate them with those who are not that. There are most definitely people who are Nazi sympathizers who are grasping for positions of power. They see the world in a manner similar though not perfectly identical to the Nazis. They frequently say things like "Weimar problems require Weimar solutions." This concern has recently been more prominent due to talk about the number of staffers who fit in that kind of group. There are clearly legitimate grievances. That doesn't mean those grievances require "Weimar solutions". I think @ConceptualJames series The Nazi Experiment does a good job in highlighting the problems and the attempts at rectifying them that led to the horrors of WW2 ( As usual in these cases I am going to suggest reading Melita Maschmann's "Account Rendered: A Dossier on my Former Self". ( - you can usually just find it for free online though). She had been a Nazi from her early teens until she was let go by the Allied Forces and recounts how she came to believe what she believed and how she came out of it. Hannah Arendt had communicated with her and believed her to be honest. You may notice some parallels. In the end though to me it's simple: the number of people who are fully aware that National Socialists are Leftists, who are fully aware that Leftism is Wokeness... don't think there can be Woke on the Right. And in part they are correct: to be Woke requires not being on the Right. But in part they are wrong: You can LARP as Right while being on the Left. Mein Kampf, Ch.2: "Gradually I became an expert in the doctrine of the Marxists and used this knowledge as an instrument to drive home my own firm convictions. I was successful in nearly every case." My advice is to not be so certain and to do more reading.
