Here's the full version. Pretty funny.

Thiel said this about MBA's on Reddit 9yrs ago: "just think most MBA's tend to be high extrovert/low conviction people -- a combination that in my experience leads towards extremely herd-like thinking and behavior"

When you find out Sundar is ex McKinsey, the state of Google internally starts to make a lot more sense.

Seems like McKinsey is a 'leitmotif' on today's X timeline!

I didn’t even know people hire consultants for their startups Feels like any founder can tell that’s a bad idea Always thought it was more of an established company kinda thing 🤣

I've been meetings with these guys and others like them and the clients sit there in awe hanging on every word. When the agency is just waiting for ONE tangible insight to build something on. One of the finest magic tricks around.

wait, I watched till the end! Is this a parody by someone else or is Mckinsey making fun of themselves? Interesting

@Olurantowoseeni Made by Last Week Tonight as a parody.

Consultants often work on short engagements and come up with facile recommendations. Even non-management consultants, it’s often the same. I’ve seen a lot of UX consulting have the same issues of lack of building through and being surface level. Startups need commitment.

Can't tell if you're serious or joking, but in case you're not kidding, gotta say it: This is a bad, reductive take. Startups should be careful in hiring MBA consultants and thoughtful about the right role. But there are countless examples of MBA consultants being great startup hires. Do you think Google should not have hired Sundar or Sheryl?
