This looks way simpler that what happened to me. Dude had to use a drill for minutes

you're leaving out the part where they take a sledge hammer to your jaw at the end

Unless..it's sideways and they have to shatter it and pull out the shards. Yeaaaaah, first hand experience.

Not even close. They have to drill into the too and yank it out. Sometimes crack it and take it out in pieces. The top wisdom teeth are easier though.

What absolute bullshit. Just complete nonsense. A wisdom tooth with no roots! FFS.

They used a big ass drill to get mine out and didn’t even put me to sleep

Nope. There's a lot more noise, blood, smell, and force involved in the process.

I was just talking about wisdom teeth last night. Why would our bodies grow something we don’t need? Have we always removed them, even before modern dentistry? Is it an invented cash grab for oral surgeons? I will never grow any, does that mean I’m more evolved? 🤔

Thank god. I don't need it. Looks painful 😣

Ummmmm, not really. First off, there is no reason the elevate the soft tissue on the lingual (tongue side). The lingual nerve, which gives sensation to the tongue, sits just below the crest of the ridge in 40% of the population. So we avoid that area like the plague to avoid injuring it and causing numbness of the tongue. Second of all, wisdom teeth are very early just sitting there to be plucked out. The are usually impacted, which means they are partially or fully covered by bone, which must be removed before accesssing them, and they are usually lying at odd angles so must be sectioned and cut into pieces before they can be fully removed. Close, but no cigar…

I wish it were this easy. My orthodontist was literally putting all of his weight on my mouth trying to dig those fuckers out of my jaw

still wonder how humans used to do it in stone age

This could be the easiest way to explain but the reality is far more complicated lmao after they got u numb overthere you will get lots of 'dug dug dug dug' sound thro ur ears cos they tryin to take out the teeth from its solid roots🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Still hurts like it was yesterday

lol, had mine removed when I was in the Army. They used pliers and a hammer.

I always heard they crushed it into fragments before removing it.

They physically couldn’t put me to sleep for mine so I ended up being completely awake for all 4 wisdom teeth. Just one tooth needed 17 shots of lidocaine/novocaine bc their meds didn’t work on me

rofl, where is the root man?

Think about n lingualis and a little bit the mandibularis

Is not always that easy. Mine was extracted in 4 parts

Forgot drills; pliers; hammer; and otherwise medieval mechanical tools to get the tooth out, especially if the tooth root is grown into jaw bone. 😐

No wonder it hurts like a motherfucker.

The first cut is wrong

Udah tauuu tp klo dilaksanain ttep kerasa takutnya🥺🥺

It's not that easy, duh

I need that lil shit to go away
Not mine! This would be a little more believable if they had the roots on the tooth. My bottom ones were on their sides and had to be dug out from the sides of my jaw. Fortunately, I was fully sedated in hospital (outpatient) while this all happened.

Interesting

@soophisc

Just regularly munching on harder stuff like drired meat, and keeping them clean. Why take them out?

Where's the crowbar?

@AdrianBaquer

@Wurzelspitze Wann Weisheitszahn mit Gabel entfernen-Flashmob?
