Many people who undergo knee surgery don’t seem to recover well. I know some individuals who have had surgery and still have issues

Knee replacement surgery is a common procedure to ease pain and improve knee function for people with arthritis or damaged joints. - Total Knee Replacement: This is the most common type of procedure. The surgeon makes a cut down the front of the knee, moving the kneecap aside. The damaged ends of the shin bone and thigh bone are removed. Metal and plastic parts replace the ends of both bones to create a new joint. The kneecap is put back in place and the incision is closed. - Partial Knee Replacement: This is done when for example arthritis affects only one half of the knee. Only the bones on the affected side are replaced with metal or plastic parts. The incisions are smaller and recovery is quicker.
