This is how I move the cursor with my mind.

I was reading Matilda last night, and when she moved the glass on the table it made me think of you haha.

Super cool. Quick question: does it require sustained focused intention? What happens with intrusive thoughts, random monkey-mind chatter, or when you change your mind mid-move?

@elonmusk Watching Noland move the queen with nothing but intention is pure wonder. The future just whispered checkmate to paralysis. Incredible work, Neuralink team.

@elonmusk We’re officially living in a timeline where a human being moves a cursor with pure thought… and most people still underestimate what they’re capable of. Mind → machine → reality. The future’s not coming — it’s happening.

Can you do it with your eyes closed? Like is there any similarity to muscle memory with typing on a phone? For instance, I’m better at typing when I am looking at the keyboard on the screen but it’s still possible for me to type fairly accurately even if I’m not looking. It’s like I have some sort of latent mental representation of where things are that allows me to accurately interact with them despite not actually seeing them explicitly. Is it anything like that?

@elonmusk You can never have too many chess demos with @neuralink. 🤩

Neuralink — Elon Musk’s brain-chip project is building a direct two-way link between the human brain and computers. 🧠💻 Originally aimed at helping patients with paralysis, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s, the chip reads neural signals so users can control computers or robotic devices with thought. In the future, it could enable seamless brain-to-device interaction

@elonmusk Mind blowing 🤯 Great improvement for humanity

@elonmusk How is this affecting your clairvoyant abilities?

If I had that kind of power, I'd know what move my ex-wife was planning the second before she drained the bank account and left me for the yoga instructor.😂

Is it more like how we move a body part or like how we think about moving a body part (but not actually moving it)?

@elonmusk Wow.Congratulations.👍👍👍

@elonmusk WoW... It just keeps getting Better.! 💯

Noland, thanks for answering people's questions. This is exciting! You are helping to remove fears, and add hope, to the lives of many. ❤️

I heard patient zero was a monkey

@elonmusk Truly amazing Noland

Lmao 😂😂😂

@elonmusk I can drink coffee, pick up a cup and take a sip, with my mind.

@elonmusk PFM …. pure f______ magic!

@elonmusk Pretty much!

@elonmusk And still people hate on Mr. Musk. Unbelievable.

@elonmusk Watching Noland move the cursor with pure thought is one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen this year. The future just whispered, and it sounds like freedom. Incredible work, Neuralink.

@elonmusk Shouldn’t cursor

Mind-control tech? We’re officially in sci-fi mode.

@elonmusk Amazing

@elonmusk Amazing

Movement starts in the mind. You're bypassing body parts to accomplish the desired outcome, using the interface to move the cursor and click on the selection. No hands or fingers necessary. That is awesome!

Congrats Norland. As a neuroscientist observing from the sidelines your "anecdata" is always refreshing and revealing.

@elonmusk Hooray!🙏🏻🙌🏻

@elonmusk Noland just checkmated the future with his mind 🧠 Pure magic. Love it! ❤️

Can't wait for this tech in our flying cars. 😁

@elonmusk ❤️

Only 42 lines of python build to run on 16bit cpu in the first 640 k, can do an embedded mega lite for nuralink free ZRock station..

@elonmusk It’s like this, right???
