Why is there a literacy crisis in the United States? Because this is how children are taught to pretend how to read and then they're passed along to the next grade. What they needed was phonics and background knowledge building read alouds. What they got was garbage and tricks.

Giving our community members the chance to be the first to play Dying Light: The Beast was exciting but stressful at the same time! It also became a key moment that showed us how our hard work paid off and that we are ready to reveal more about the game soon! #DyingLightTheBeast

Most teachers in this country are regularly observed as part of their professional development. Two thirds of teachers do not think this has made a difference to their actual practice. Teachers do not understand the feedback they receive. They do not agree with the feedback they receive. They do not feel willing or capable to implement the feedback they receive. These things are facts, and they are both worrying and upsetting. And none of this is a secret. We all know it, we've all experienced it. When we asked Carousel Teaching users what topics they wanted us to make courses on, the most common response was "how to observe lessons and give feedback." Ben Rice and I are now MAD EXCITED to announce our How To Observe a Lesson and Give Feedback course. It's mega. We filmed a bunch of lessons, and we also filmed me observing those lessons. We deconstruct the science of observations, and the art of giving feedback. It's pretty damn innovative, and we're confident it will help teachers and leaders get better at these critical skills. We will also be delivering a FREE webinar where we will look at some of the core strategies, do make sure to come along :) For more on the course: For more on the webinar: To book a demo so we can show you the whole platform:

Thomas Jefferson tried to end slavery in 1769. He was barely in the Virginia colonial legislature before he put forward legislation to emancipate slaves under the British Crown. The King vetoed it. So when Jefferson sat down seven years later and wrote that the King had "suppressed every legislative attempt to prohibit or restrain" the slave trade — that wasn't just a political grievance. That was personal. And we almost missed it entirely. This document was sitting in our collection, nearly went on air upside down, and the moment we read it the only question we could ask was — how were we not taught this? This is robbery of our heritage. Does knowing this change how you see Jefferson? Drop it in the comments. Glenn Beck

This was how the world reacted to the release of the Passion of the Christ in 2004 People moved to tears and beyond words There was a reason the film was slandered and lied about before it came out, it was one of the most powerful witnesses to Jesus Christ ever made

🗣️: Getting back together as BIGBANG to release another song and promote, and coordinating our schedules—that wasn’t exactly easy, was it? 🐉: I never really thought about whether it was easy or not before. We were all with the same agency, but this time, since it’s our 20th anniversary, we’d been working out a rough plan among the members for the past year or two. But when it actually came time to do it, we were all with different agencies now, so we’d just be together in our group chat, saying, “Let’s do it this way,” and that was it - “I’ll talk to my agency, and you talk to yours,” We couldn’t decide right away, so we shared the plan with our companies. After that, we gathered feedback from our respective companies and discussed it again. It took longer to make a decision than before. 🌞: BIGBANG is still signed to YG, you know. There are just more steps we have to go through.

Everyone was saying how great the battle was between the Ferraris.... I just looked at it and thought how stupid they were being. George was waiting there with his full energy to overtake them both when they used all theirs up squabbling and then disappeared up the road. It offers an exciting looking product, look any deeper than the surface however, and you just how fake it is. 🎥: Formulytics

Zendaya reveals how she freaked out when Tom Holland told her about starring in The Odyssey. "He had the script, and I may have taken a little peek. I had to know. He had a Christopher Nolan script in my house, what am I gonna do? So I looked" "Then he went off to his meeting, and when he came home, I was like, 'Okay! Tell me all about it! How was it? What was it like?' You know what I mean? I was so ready, so excited" "And he goes, 'Read this again.' And I was like, 'What? Why? We just read it last night.' He was like, 'Read it again, but with Athena in mind.' And I was like, 'Yo, stop it right there'" "I freaked out. I was so grateful. And the fact that he got to be the one to tell me, it was so special"

I didn’t expect this to give me goosebumps. What stands out to you? What struck me most was how rarely he looked at the attorney delivering closing arguments. His eyes barely looked in that direction and when they did, it was fleeting, almost as if he had to force himself to look before quickly looking away each time.

Lara Logan Explains How COVID-19 Was BIOWEAPON Unleashed on The World to STOP Trump From Being Elected "It was a bioweapon that we knew our intelligence agencies were tracking from the very, beginning because China only builds bioweapons labs.” "U.S. intelligence and the U.S. government knows that all China does is bioweapons facilities. Because this kind of research was deemed to be so unethical and so dangerous, we farmed it out to China" "This was a bioweapon that was developed by the globalists for use at a later date, and they rolled it out early because Donald Trump needed to be stopped, in their view." Amazing research Lara Logan

It's hard to comprehend how steep and how fast a Shuttle approach was. We used to joke if you dropped a brick midfield from the same height of the Shuttle, the Shuttle would beat it to the ground, and it was true. This cockpit video makes it real. Who's wants to do that?🙋‍♂️

In a recent interview with Press Box PR, Raphaël Colantonio, the founder of Arcane Studios, shared his experience of working with Valve on the cancelled Half-Life 2 expansion called "Return to Ravenholm": “It took us a decade to move on from the pain of the Ravenholm project because we were incredibly excited about doing that game and we put in a lot of creative energy into it and eventually when the decision was made to cut it, we did not understand it as it happened. We were young and we were just refusing to see the reality of the situation and the reality was much simpler than the way it looked to us. It all came down to the economics behind Half Life 2 and how the DLCs were selling. They had a business ratio between how much they could spend and how they could make it to be worth it to them because it takes the attention of the entire structure on their side. They had tried to create something internally and then they had tried with an external team already in America but it did not work out because they were too expensive so they worked with us because they liked our work and we worked with them during that time. They thought, you know, why not try these guys? We seemed pretty effective and eventually, like the two other attempts that they had looked at, we went somewhere with it, and it was cool. What we had was really, really cool. But it still needed more time, and too much time to finish. Beyond it being cool there was a business call at some point where it was decided that it didn’t really make sense. It was very painful for us but it made sense, we grew up and got a little bit more mature about it.”

You all saw how the visit of the delegation of African leaders and representatives went - a visit to 🇺🇦, and then a visit to the 🇷🇺 terrorist state. The delegation had the opportunity to see who is really interested in peace and who himself embodies war, it was very clear. Everything that was discussed in 🇺🇦 was about the #PeaceFormula. Point by point. The whole content. Everything that was said in 🇷🇺 was about war, about how to continue destroying lives. It is obvious that there is no alternative to the 🇺🇦 Peace Formula. It is good that the world hears and sees this more and more.

Adam Driver says Harrison Ford became emotional before Han Solo’s death scene and told him, “Look what we get to do” “I remember we were on this big catwalk shooting it, and it was just him and me. He was looking around and goes, ‘Look what we get to do. Isn’t this so great?’” “I thought he would be cynical or over it, and it was the exact opposite. He was very emotional and open” “He was so excited about how lucky he was to be shooting this movie and this character, and how great filmmaking is. He was very earnest and uncynical”

🚨This angle of the Phil Mickelson hole out today is even more insane 🤯 “So that was one of my better ones… I don't know what to say because I have to aim so far left because I'm hooking it over my shoulder and trying to guess how much it's going to hook is the challenge…. “But it wasn't hard stopping it. It was hard guessing how much it was going to hook because it was soft greens and I had such an uphill lie, the ball was going to go high, but just judging how much the ball was going to come over my shoulder, that was the challenge. Even I was a little bit surprised.” (🎥 via HyFlyers GC)
