Online Comp is very foreign to me. I see it as its own sport with its own rules. I don’t say that as a diss. It is what it is. A lot of the frustrations I might have with it pretty much come with the territory. I’ve been seeing a lot of this but to really think real-world football concepts and strategy will translate cleanly and consistently in such an uncontrolled environment is… a little naive? I know it sounds cool but I’ve never bought it. If I want my game to feel like football, I’ll just tinker with sliders, play the cpu, and hope for the best.

A short film about my World Cup in the United States. It was a celebration of football, of a way of playing that I believe in, and of the people who make this game so fascinating. But it was also a journey through a country I discovered in a completely different way: its cities, its people, its contradictions and its incredible energy. And yes, I had a fantastic time. That doesn’t mean I’ve forgotten the uncomfortable questions around how the World Cup is organised, or the criticism surrounding FIFA and its leadership. Both things can be true: you can love football, enjoy the people and the experience, and still question the way the game is run. This is simply my World Cup story.
