The real gospel isn’t that Jesus died to calm down an angry God. God is pure non-violent love, exactly like Jesus showed us. When you’ve seen Jesus, you’ve seen the Father. No wrath, no dark side at all. All that violence in the Old Testament was us projecting our own scapegoating onto God (Girard stuff). The cross doesn’t pay off an angry God, it exposes and defeats that whole sacred violence system. Good news is you’ve always been loved. That angry god version was never the real one. Just trust the Jesus who shows us who the Father actually is. That’s the narrow path.
