Someone watched their coworker assemble it. Someone walked it through a crowd that cheered, filmed, laughed, and posted it on social media. No one stopped it. I wonder if anyone - even a single person - was uncomfortable. Did an employee try to say something? Did it even occur to them that they should? BROWDER: Most important thing is that Russians have been led to believe that "special military operation" in Ukraine was some far-off, distant thing that didn't affect average Russian. Now every Russian is affected by it. It's no longer "special military operation", it is a war. It's a war that's hitting them in pocketbook. It's a war that's making them stand in line for gas. It's a war where they can actually see plumes of black smoke on the horizon in St. Petersburg and Moscow. And that completely changes psychology of Russian people about how this war should be thought about and whether it's a war that they really want. Is it something that helps their lives? Is it something that makes them better off? And it was easy for them to think about it theoretically and say, "Okay, yeah, this is a great war of conquest." But it's no longer theoretical. It's very practical, and it affects their lives.
