Believe it or not, the JWST has even MORE control than this! Each segment has 7 actuators, giving them the ability to tilt 6° in any direction (as shown) but each segment also has the ability to change its CURVATURE! This allows the mirror to become a perfectly smooth surface!

This is great but it is not how Webb works. They both have moving hex mirrors but Webb moves them into a very precise location for focus and leaves them there, then turns the whole set of mirrors towards whatever it is examining.
