It’s not a leadership contest Gordon, it’s a coronation. Disgraced Labour MP Josh Simons stood down from his seat in Makerfield so Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham could run and be coronated Labour leader and Prime Minister. Not only did the taxpayer have to pick up the cost of this sham they also have to pick up the cost of a mayoral election in Manchester. Galactic hypocrisy and a complete disregard for the hard pressed British taxpayer. It now appears Josh will be given a plum job in Burnham’s Royal Court. I thought Labour didn’t do Kings?
