I feel the same, people try too hard to push their kids out and struggle. Kids definitely need to leave home and grow but help them grow financially is also needed.

we have a perpetual living trust in our fam. noone can get to the principal w/o 3 family signatures. each gen w/ ppl 18+ vote on how the money is invested /grown. Right now, our mom (93 y/o) gets a ✅every month. the next gen will get ✅✅ when she's gone...and so forth.

Many black families did that early-mid 20th century. They bought family homes & lived together in the home pooling resources. There was no need for child day care or nursing homes for the elderly. My great grandma & her daughters & grands lived in a 3 story home in DC in 1950’s-
