The goverment should highly subsidise and support people willing to manufacture goods locally.. That is the only way to grow local manufacturing..

But instead promote local capitalists.

Kazi safi sana hii. I've always wondered why the bespoke shoe industry in Kenya is so jua kali when there's so much potential. Alafu variety ya soles ni very limited. Hii industry iko na potential for someone willing to invest in proper materials and training and equipment.
