Tim O’Dey ruled Jack Campbell out of bounds on this pick in last year’s Iowa Minnesota game. Replay showed he never stepped out, but they blew it dead and the play wasn’t reviewable. Back to back years of massive, game changing calls against Iowa by this guy.

Invalid fair catch ruled, not a fair catch. I get the anger about the rule but it was ruled correctly. If Iowa fumbled on the return with MN recovering are Iowa fans still adamant that the play should have been upheld? Or do they want it ruled correctly giving them the ball back?

it wasn't a fair catch signal, if you make that (below the head) waving motion it's an "invalid" signal and dead ball there. Same thing was called in the Tennessee game yesterday. @tyschmit

There is an article somewhere written before this incident, about his penchant for making bad calls that decide games. He was the one who called Campbell out of bounds at the end of the Minny game last year when he had a pick 6. Review showed he wasn't, but he blew it dead .

This is the same ref that called Jack Campbell out of bounds in last years game vs Minnesota. I am thinking an investigation needs to be had with this guy & his motives. No way 2 hugely controversial calls with the same 2 teams,both going for Minnesota with the same ref!
