Why hasn’t Eiichiro Oda gotten a Nobel Prize in Literature yet? I’ve read the Greek and Hindu Epics Iliad, Odyssey, Ramayana, and Mahabharata And One Piece story arcs have real life human political conflicts around socioeconomics, race relations, religion, culture, gender, authoritarianism, corruption, and love/romance/emotional growth. That makes it deeper than those ancient epics honestly. And all done through an allegory of cartoon whimsy akin to George Orwell’s Animal Farm style approach. Why does the mainstream world not understand how amazing One Piece is? They will someday.
