This is why I left AA/NA- Orange County California… Especially the GAY meetings. It was cult-ish. They wanted you to follow the books to fhe T but the old creepy gay men whould target the “young & vulnerable” ones. They would feed into their trama/addiction and sleep w them.

I got kicked out an AA meeting by old timers bc i was an addict not an alcoholic . They treated me like shit and i relapsed that day

Every person about to go back out calls AA a cult. There are predators in AA but the group normally handles them swiftly. There is no better program in the world for Alcholism than AA. Every city has multiple meetings tens to hundreds. If a group doesnt feel right. Find another for fuk sake.
