The only public place I feel somewhat high trust at is the gym in the mornings. If youre awake at 5:30am improving yourself, chances are, you’re not stealing

You’re actually right One of the only areas a high trust society still somewhat exists

I miss living in a high trust society

Bring back small local societies and the local institutions that made this possible

You mean the 60s ?

In the 60’s we were already on a course that led us to where we are today.

In America? Maybe Australia wasn’t…

Yeah I’m not helpful on 60’s Australia.

Walled gardens. If we want to rebuild a high trust society we will need them. That means excluding anyone who doesn't participate or adhere to high trust. If you want higher quality you have to have boundaries and stipulations. Can't have it both ways.

You can have it - but you need to remove alot of rubbish from our societies also

Why she ain't send Marge her $20 back😭😭😭

why is this random ass video on my tl (im crying)

Goal achieved.

@reuben_ayodeji Trust is a sign of strength. Not weakness. Some would take advantage but it’s worth risking to help the few that might really need it.

🥲mr Chalmers was right , Granpa is the Best 🥲🥲 and Marge it's like me belive in people 🙂↔️😪😪😪

Grandpa is a gem

The saddest part is someone at @USPS would open the mail and steal the money. They always say it’s not smart to mail cash, they leave out the part that their employees are thieves

Yep

Sad, right?

Yep. It's all an illusion.

I don’t usually say this………but this cuts deep!!

But in reality they'd take your money. Why do they always show up at gas stations with cars and need money?

Abe Simpson is the archetypal boomer who wants to make everyone *think* they live in a high-trust society because it allows him to maintain the feelgood politics of his youth, while society continues to deteriorate. Chalmers is gen X. He's not fully redpilled, but he gets it. The Simpson parents are millennials, meaning they were unfortunate enough to be raised by boomers. It will be a while before they get it. Their gen alpha kids will likely figure it out before they do.

When I was living in the U.K. I went on a motorcycle tour of Ireland. I had to make a toilet stop at what turned out to be a racetrack which had a gravel parking lot and my foot slipped causing my side mirror to put a small crease in the side of an adjacent car. I had little hope of finding the owner so I wrote an apology and gave my address to send the bill to. It turned out to be about $40 and I returned $60 in cash with an apology for the trouble I'd put him to. A couple weeks later I got an effusive letter of thanks extolling the British sense of justice & etc. I didn't respond that I was American, I figured I was doing something for Anglo-Irish relations.

But now they didn't learn their lesson and will be victimized again. Probably many more times due to how reward circuitry works in the brain. He made them more susceptible to futures scammers! There are better ways to show love and reward faith in humanity than this.

High Trust is still alive in America. This very thing happened yesterday to me, except I was the one who forgot to bring cash. Without batting an eye, they said, "just come back later to pay". And I did. The most important decision you will make it who you choose to surround yourself with. And believe it or not, high trust areas are NOT the most expensive areas. In fact, often the opposite.

That comes with a 20% chance of getting robbed.

Thats cute grandpa

Peak Grandpa

why does everyone put the huge fucking subtitles on clips

Owning an American car made me realize you guys live in a low trust society. Safety features indicate fear of being robbed. This is really sad. Carjacking, sentry mode and liability...

Man...why did the end part make me want to 😭

At least the Simpsons didn’t get home invaded.

The irony of us all having this conversation of distrust (among ourselves/society) here on social media which is responsible for at least half of the distrust discourse in the first place is genuinely astounding.

Thought we got some insight, Springfield, USA

Grandpa was like the US Government. 😅 "Suckers."

I once met this old guy asking for cash for fuel. I told him I would buy him gas instead. He got upset and drove away.

I’m broke myself, but I still help those who ask for it if I can at that moment. Sure I may probably not be broke if I stopped doing that, but helping others feels better.

Happened to me. Female customer wasn’t there to receive delivery. She was desperate for the product over the weekend for a project. So I used Uber to deliver from 45 miles away. She was supposed to reimburse me on the cash app. It never happened.

So how should I feel? I’m so torn

Never saw this before. 100% expected Marge to go home to fund they had been robbed after giving the girl her address.

Damn dude. 🔥 I suppose I haven't seen you complaining 😂

Most based clip of 2025. I’ve had my moments

Good times 🎉

I saw a guy on the train tracks crying for someone to help him back up on the platform and everyone was recording and stepping back from him. Apparently he wanted to pull others on the tracks with him, You really can’t trust anyone these days and the good will suffer for the bad.

$20 in the mailbox in 2025? USPS workers about to hit the “tip received” dance. Trust is officially a museum exhibit.📮

How did the grandpa know about the $20?

Haha..suckers! 😂 What episode was this?
