Mangroves have aerial roots, such as prop roots and pneumatophores, which allow them to breathe in oxygen-poor, waterlogged soils. These roots also stabilize coastlines and protect against erosion.

Very well said here by Shervin Hajipour: "Just don't forget that we all want one thing, and our goal is one thing, and that is for this country to turn into a better place to live. And we are all trying in some way. Maybe these small ways have differences with each other, and we have small differences of opinion. But we are not supposed to tear ourselves apart on social media and fight with each other because of this difference of opinion. Because there is a minority that is taking maximum advantage of this lack of solidarity among us, and we really shouldn't give them this opportunity."

More than half are pensioners and people with disabilities. The working-age population is at most 10 million.Last year Ukraine lost nearly 800,000 people — due to high mortality and emigration abroad. Last year there were THREE times more deaths than births in Ukraine. This year — FOUR times more deaths than births. We are paying an unacceptably high price for the continuation of the war. We are paying with the lives of people who can never be brought back. If the war continues, will Ukraine have another 35 years? Only peace can save the Ukrainian nation.

They serve as natural barriers against storm surges and flooding, prevent erosion, support marine biodiversity, and absorb carbon from the atmosphere, making them one of nature’s strongest defenses against climate change. With the increasing impact of devastating typhoons on families and communities, we knew we wanted our monthsary celebration to mean something more. We wanted it to create real, lasting impact. In collaboration with @MikBrentGlobal, we planted 100 mangroves in Sasmuan, Pampanga, each seedling a step toward stronger shorelines and safer tomorrows. To end the day on a sweet note, we also shared freshly made treats with MENTies, drivers, and even passersby as a simple Valentine’s gesture of gratitude and kindness. From protecting coastlines to spreading warmth in small ways, this project reminded us that love grows best when it is shared… with the earth, with communities, and with one another.
