@fox7austin This is why crime statistics are lower. Guard gets assaulted,the police say it doesn’t meet their criteria to respond and he gets fired. If you defend yourself you’re the criminal.

I am a minority, born and raised in dove springs. Growing up we wanted the police to be present & active. We never wanted them not to be heavily involved in our community. It’s how me and my family, friends, neighbors felt safe & still do. When people that have never experienced true criminal behavior start to be the mouth piece for everyone in those communities and actively want less protection or help for people that ACTUALLY live in crime riddled communities, it is a dangerous consequence. No one wants to feel like they don’t have the support they need. Our society needs law and order to add structure to our broken society & a justice system that isn’t a laughing stock. I feel bad for this man, he was trying to protect himself, his job is to patrol a building and to add security to his building. He did the right thing in trying to defend everything he is entitled to. Wrong is still wrong no matter how much people want this world to be turned upside down. Keep your head up brother.
