I have been helping my kids develop the skill of “Vision”. Create a future moment in time that you want to experience, then implement a strategy to get there. Kodah had a vision for bringing a Titanic Lego to “Star of the Week” next year when he is in first grade. He used this to convince his mother and I to buy him the Lego set. Despite the fact that this Lego set is 9000 pieces and for 18 years and older, he never doubted himself from the very beginning. He finished it in a few weeks and brought it to show everyone at school his vision realized. Very proud of this kid and really mind blown that he could lock in and do the entire thing. He developed this skill because when he was five I told him I could no longer help him with Lego’s because they were just too frustratingly tedious for me and from now on he needed to build his own. He never looked back.

I built a variant of Matt Pocock's grilling skill dedicated to frontend and it has improved how I build new apps and components. The general idea: 1. Use /grilling and /prototype as a base 2. Tell Claude to build 5 WILDLY different prototypes 3. Tell Claude to include a picker that lets you switch between each variant live 4. Each round you select your favorite(s) + leave feedback, and Claude will walk down each branch of the design tree, helping you zoom in on your desired design And THEN, I went and added it to /wayfinder, so whenever I make a new map and there's novel frontend work, a ticket is created specifically referencing that /grilling-frontend-prototyping needs to be invoked. I've built a new home for my projects here, and in advance of my next major release with Transient Labs on June 16th, I want to share what I've made with you all, and open a dialogue about how we can use these tools as artists to enhance the experience of making and sharing our art.
