If it's possible for them to show high school rugby games surely they can show NFD games. In Europe even 3rd tier games are on TV.

I think it's cost versers benefits for broadcasters they will need advertisers to come on board as well as viewership,to send crew and cameras for production cost a lot but It's up to PSL to and clubs to make NFD products attractive firstly buy putting bums on the seats.

NFD clubs are trying but it doesn’t seem like there’s any real interest until playoffs because the schedule for aired games seems so sporadic and random

💯 on scheduling I think it's also a major reason why NFD is not on TV ,e.g Netherlands, Belgium and Germany mostly second tier games are played on Friday and Monday if the game is on weekends it's usually an early kickoff like we are doing here with DDC league.

I understand why they won’t show every game but the Friday afternoon ones won’t clash with anything and/or 1 game per week won’t hurt man

Really dissapointed especially the hype that was surrounding the Cape Town City derby ,it was a perfect opportunity to showcase the NFD product. Now Supersport is under a French company am afraid we will never see it happen. Unless the powers that be @OfficialPSL do something.

Once had a chat like this with a friend, I still blame PSL they gave MultiChoice/Canal+ all PSL(Betway & MFL) broadcasting rights. They should separate the two, I’m sure SABC & etv would do something if they were to be given MFL rights. I mean SABC hardly gets any games already

The bigger questuon is why in 2026 does the public broadcaster not have a free to air channel for sports. A lot of sports that are unknown would have used that channel. Netball, hockey, athletics, swimming, boxing, basketball etc etc. There is an audience for such.

Bro I’m sure there are many things being shown on tv with poor viewership numbers, yet they remain. I know sponsorship isn’t there but trying once off I just not good enough. It’s deeper than just big viewership, it’s about our football developing.
