Passed my conditioning test for Carmel Football then worked on a few balls that Dana Holgorsen told me to get great at for Nebraska Football. I enjoyed a relaxing morning at the Washington Duke… and just picked up my gear bag for my first ever Coach K Academy (Duke basketball fantasy camp)! My goodness, this is quite the hookup! I will wear all of this proudly! I’m about to head over to Cameron Indoor Stadium to stretch and get some shots up before the 3 on 3 evaluation games! Then the player draft is tonight (I’ll found out my coach and team)! I feel like a kid again… which is EXHILARATING! I’ve got a healthy excitement/anticipation… and have already made a few new friends!! I went to my first sleepover basketball at age 10. Now, 40 years later, I’m doing it again! Stay tuned for more updates!

Elina Svitolina on facing Coco Gauff next in the Australian Open Quarterfinals: “I have to speak with my coach about the plan that I have to execute. We had some tough matches, tough battles. I think maybe the last 2 were in 3 sets. We played in the final of Auckland a couple of years back. We played also at US Open. We both know each others game. For me it’s important tomorrow to work on a few things, speak with my coach, and be ready for the extreme heat as well. We’ll not only be playing against each other, but also against the conditions.” (via Australian Open Press)

My Grandpa, Tom Caflisch coached as a Special Teams Coach for 21 years Falcon Football. Many years ago, he told me about this new coach coming to town, @CoachWalkerRF was the new head coach, he said “He’s the guy that’s gonna turn around River Falls Football.” He echoed it year after year when I’d visit because he saw what was happening daily. When I got into college coaching as a GA at MSU, he set up a meeting with Coach Walker, “You have to meet this guy.” We sat down for Lunch on a weekday at Bo’s and Mine and talked ball for an hour and a half about the Crush front and Pop passes, along with other things. After, Grandpa C goes I have no idea what you guys were talking about but that was awesome. 🤣😂 Fast Forward to my grandpa getting sick. Not only did Coach visit him, he sent Freddy the Falcon (The Mascot) to see him. When he passed Coach and his staff came to his funeral, and remembered him with a moment of silence pre-game. So you wanna know why UW-RF is where they are? It’s because of the people and it starts at the top.

For us, here at Harding, that begins and ends with trying to honor God." Good stuff here from Harding head coach Paul Simmons, you can see why coaches and players are loyal to this program. It starts at the top. Harding is 15-0 this year and playing for a D2 National Championship this Saturday. A solid culture goes hand in hand with success.

$AMC $BYND $CGC This is my last and final video I am doing on the MEMES. Because its over soon we rally. After i don't want to hear about these again. I will move on to other plays FINALLY. I promised you guys I would be here with you until this (literally went through hell to be here for you)... Get me a coffee , a steak or a sailboat when this happens if you wan't to give back but this video is gruelling and long and clearly shows you after the next pop in these there is no TRADE on them for a long long time imo. The video goes over BYND then CGC then AMC May God be with us all next week and give us VICTORY!

This drives me crazy with Brent. After a direct question about how the run game needs to improve, it only takes him about 20 seconds to start putting blame back on his Defense. I get that it's probably admirable for a Defensive Coordinator to take a 'we should play well enough on Defense to win 3-0 mindset,' but it's unbecoming of a Head Coach. This is the biggest issue with the team you coach. Address it and give us reason to think you even care to see it fixed.

UPDATE: Former UNC Bears Cornerbacks Coach DJ Williams left for Abilene Christian in January. Josh Thornton was the perfect coach to fill the void left by Williams. Thornton played for Coach Lamb when Southern Utah won the Big Sky Conference Championship a decade ago. He came in with Lamb and has known most of the players for a couple of years. After his college career, he played in Detroit, Houston, Carolina and Buffalo along with a couple of seasons in the XFL and CFL. He grew up in Belle Glade, Florida where you can find a current or former NFL player almost anywhere you turn. He's great for this program. He cares about the young men. Thornton sets a great example, handles himself like a pro and is willing to do the dirty work to make the program succussful. As difficult as it was to see Williams go, I'm excited for Thornton and the players on this roster. #BearWitness #STBC
