This whole Alcatraz talk reminds me of the "Build the wall" or "Stop the steal" bullshit. They'll get the billions they need to "fix it" and then there will be another wild thing trump throws out there and when we're distracted, they'll pocket the money and it'll still sit empty.

tRump is obsessed with prisons. I think he needs to spend some time in one to really appreciate the accommodations for himself.

This Alcatraz thing is nothing more than Trump throwing red meat to his base, while revealing how they all derive satisfaction from being sadistic. It's also just another instance of their deploying Bannon's 'flooding the zone' strategy.
