@bariweiss The voting public is to blame. We elect people based on ideology and image as opposed to basic competence. Gov tries to be all things to all people as opposed to simply focusing on its basic functions and doing them well. We need Milei style revolutions at all levels of Gov.

Rapid fire questions are not my usual setting, but they have a way of drawing out sides of us that formal speeches sometimes miss. Tolani Alli decided to take that approach, and in the process reminded all of us that leadership is not only about policy or principles, but also about presence, humor, and humanity. I enjoyed the questions, perhaps even more than I expected. Moments like this are a reminder that storytelling is not simply about telling a story, but about revealing the person behind it.
