The Department of Education’s “pass-through” is a bureaucratic middleman siphoning taxpayer dollars into administrative bloat. Title I funding gets diluted by federal overhead costs and compliance mandates that tie states’ hands. If Washington truly cared about low-income communities, it would eliminate the red tape and send education dollars directly to states without the D.C. markup. The real issue? Bloated agencies like this exist to self-perpetuate, not solve problems. Civil rights enforcement doesn’t require a $70B+ department—states have courts and constitutions. Defund the bureaucracy, empower local districts, and watch classrooms thrive without D.C.’s inefficiency tax.

Meanwhile in CT!

Yeah...Oklahoma is now teaching these were 'freedom fighters'

Sounds to me likes it's an unnecessary department that should be abolished.

MCMAHON IS UNEDUCATED AND UNFIT TO RUN THE DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION. SHE IS ALSO 76 YEARS OLD. TIME TO PUT HER OUT TO PASTURE.

Also I just noticed, why do you have a mustache?

You’re delusional Jahana, Federal resources always come with strings attached. And the National Debt is $37,000,000,000,000.00. Spending must be cut and the DOE is a great place to start.

Yes, before 1980 the state school systems got no Federal funding. It was horrible with all those little morons sending men to the Moon and stuff without their schools being funded by the Federal Government. It was like the Dark Ages...

this is the lie democrats have been telling for decades. the industrial revolution was built by people educated before there was a dept of education when the u.s. educational system was the envy of the world. tops in every category. top to bottom
