This is NOT cheating ‼️ This is high level stuff from the Yankees and why you can learn so much mid game, Yankees had Shota for a couple innings IMO but I feel like the Cubs caught wind of it! Tell me what you think ⁉️

No…this is good shit by the Yankees, and a good breakdown by you. Pitching in college we always had guys trying to find tells like this, or trying to pick up signs when a coach was calling them from the dugout. It’s funny cause they got some benefit from it for a few innings while also helping Shota for the rest of the season. I’d be interested to know how long Shota has been doing this and if anyone else had it previously but didn’t give away that they had it.

Yup! And it won them a game in the big leagues! Absolutely huge, could’ve came from video staff, coaching staff, player not playing or playing but whoever it was was dialed in and provided tremendous value! Then to your point which was great Cubs became aware of it, fixed it quick during game and will now slow it down go back break down how long he’s been doing that! Love this ball talk 🤙🏼

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball He’s been tipping since last year. Glad to see a breakdown on it. Catchers have been doing that glove thing w him for a while now because Cubs knew something was up.

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball Hmmm. Yes, baseball is a thinking mans game. But, you can't think and hit at the same time. High level stuff, yes. But sometimes you can outsmart yourself. It's a frickin marathon.

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball I feel as tho Shota gives up a lot of HRs and gave up 2 solo HRs. If the Yanks caught onto something and still couldn’t hit him that’s a bigger problem for them

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball good breakdown Hos

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball 👊🏼

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball I love this inside shit the average fan doesn’t pick up on. The more I learn about baseball the more I love it.

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball Great breakdown Hos. It’s definitely on the pitcher not to tip and fair game. Just surprised the Yankees only got 2 off him with the wind blowing out at Wrigley

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball Nice work Hos… JD saw it too on the b’cast. IMO - old school Ps would snipe batters for doing that 😂

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball This is a great find!

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball Good stuff!

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball Hosmer stop helping these pitchers. U know better 😂

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball Isn’t it the position of the 1st coach? Like up in the box, off speed, back, fastball.

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball The problem of implementing more rules… Specifically clock and time rule rules… Has come home to roost. People have been calling this out as bad for the game for a couple years now. MLB did not listen - it’s gonna get worse, not better - you reap what you sow

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball Was there yesterday and the guy behind us called it out that it looked like the Yankees had something after Wells (I think) hit was on 2b.

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball Get your shit together Shota.

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball I disliked you on the pads so much so i have a dislike for you in general but you do post insightful stuff sometimes. I appreciate the breakdown of this and what you were seeing. Some of the best parts of baseball

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball Man players have a completely different perspective from the fans when watching a game. You’re still strategizing

I do not think it is cheating. He is tipping his pitch so that is on him. I constantly tell my hitters to observe the pitcher for that exact reason. Of course in today's world some people will probably want a rule change making the umpire go out and let the pitcher know what he is doing like it is a recreational little league game.

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball That’s just baseball!

@StevenCheah @StoolBaseball Great stuff. Love it. Keep it coming.
