He gets more criticism because he earns 300k a week and puts no effort in. If you're just off form fans will understand that but when you are the laziest player in the team as well as not scoring then you are obviously going to be targeted.

I agree that culture is so important but it’s the players who cross the white line and they are the ones who have a personal responsibility who deliver. They cannot and should not hide before the club, directors, owners or fans. They earn truly obscene amounts and should give every sinew for the cause. Hiding behind school meals and Christmas presents is just an attempted PR distraction
