It is genuinely mind-boggling how some people can move through life with zero situational awareness or basic consideration for retail workers. There are two kinds of people in this world: those who feel an intense wave of guilt stepping into a store 20 minutes before closing, and those who treat a closing announcement like an invitation to slowly browse every single aisle. This Walmart employee breaks down a situation that happens far too often. The store closes at 11:00 PM. The staff gives a 15-minute warning, a 5-minute warning, and even a final notice that registers are shutting down. Instead of wrapping it up, this family decided to play hide-and-seek in the aisles, entirely ignoring the staff just to show up at the front after closing time with a completely full cart. The manager ultimately did what every retail worker wishes they could do: refused the service and took the cart back. The level of entitlement required to look at a team of people trying to finish their shift and go home to their families, and think, "My late-night shopping spree is more important than your time," is wild. It is the ultimate display of "rules for thee, but not for me." If a store closes at 11:00, that means the business is done at 11:00—it does not mean you get to start checking out at 11:05. Retail workers are human beings, not twenty-four-seven conveniences. Respecting closing times shouldn't be a hard concept to grasp.

Dark Souls is an allegory for depression and life as a whole. Giving up is the true death. but the game is also deeply Nietzschean. It offers neither external salvation nor moral certainty there are no guarantees of redemption simply a harsh world that just IS. Meaning is not imposed upon you, you must create it through endurance and perseverance. Suffering is not merely an impediment. Itt is an integral part of the process. Every death, every return to the bonfire, echoes the same struggle again and again, asking if you can keep going. To go Hollow is to give in to nothingness, to keep going is an act of will, a quiet claim of strength even when hope feels absent. Power does not come from being pure or destined, it comes from learning, from facing fear, from choosing life even when it is cruel and indifferent However, it is also chockfull of Christian iconography in a way that deliberately clashes with its Nietzschean core. The world is in a endless cycle of fire and rot, as if it is a fallen world beset with sin. Sacrifice is ubiquitous. Gods immolate themselves to extend the age of existence, martyrs are sacrificed so that others may live on, and you perpetuallly offer yourself in ways that are almost penances. Burning bonfires are resurrections, but they are not gifts they are earned through suffering. Even in a world as hard as this one, it is not all darkness. Summoning allies to aid you, leaving messages, and sharing stories through the echoes in the world are all reminders that you are not alone and others perservere and have hope just like you There is no strict political side here, its a lesson about a experience every single person on earth has or will experience at one point or another. Trying to put your own politics into the equation is not only disrespectful to the source material but also really fucking stupid

let’s start where this actually lives, not where you want it to live. with the math. the last three weeks of dynamite: 👉 765k 👉 730k 👉 654k that is not a ramp. that is not momentum. that is not “heating up” into a conversion window. that is a decline into it. you are looking at a -111k drop in two weeks, roughly 14–15% contraction from the high to the low, at the exact point where a traditional ppv cycle should be stabilizing or expanding. instead, you have compression. average those three weeks and you land at roughly ~716k linear viewers. that is your real, observable, measurable audience. not hypothetical reach not cumulative impressions not social engagement proxies actual people sitting down and watching the show in the time slot that matters for conversion. i’ve already laid out in detail what the max numbers actually represent and how simulcast behavior works, so i’m not going to re-litigate all of that here. but it matters enough to say again clearly: max is not a second audience at scale. it is a distribution extension that splits the same audience. it does not double your reach. it does not materially expand your funnel. it shifts a portion of existing behavior from one pipe to another. the short version is already established: 👉 max is not additive at scale 👉 max is a split of the same audience 👉 max realistically contributes ~50k–150k, ~75k center so your total reachable audience on a good night is: 👉 ~790k–800k all-in that’s the funnel. that’s the ceiling. that’s the number you are working from. that’s the universe that can possibly convert into a paid transaction. not hypothetical not inflated not “what if” that is the real audience number. now take the number dave is floating: 👉 ~143k ppv buys run the only equation that matters: 👉 143k ÷ 800k = ~17.9% conversion stop there for a second Dave Meltzer is unironically asserting that nearly 1 out of every 5 viewers is converting into a $40–$50 transaction in 2026 in a market with: – no centralized ppv infrastructure – subscription-first behavior – widespread piracy – fragmented pricing (domestic, max discount, vpn international) – a declining weekly audience trend that is the claim. not “strong performance.” not “better than expected.” not “up year over year.” the claim is nearly 1 in 5 viewers converting into a $40–$50 transaction in 2026. this is where the conversation should end, because that number does not exist anywhere in modern media behavior. it doesn’t exist in boxing. it doesn’t exist in ufc. it doesn’t exist in any scaled transactional model operating in the current environment. and more importantly, it didn’t exist consistently even when the infrastructure supporting it was intact. again, this is the part people either don’t understand or choose to ignore: ppv is not just a pricing model. it is an infrastructure model. and that infrastructure is gone. for decades, the backbone of ppv was inDemand. that system wasn’t just pushing content out to cable homes. it was aggregating buys, standardizing reporting, and creating a reconciliation layer that allowed promoters, distributors, and networks to operate off the same dataset. if you were serious about this business, you could triangulate numbers. you could get within a narrow band of reality because the pipes were real and the accounting was shared. that system shut down in 2025. 👉 143k ppv buys is not an aggressive take 👉 it is not an optimistic take 👉 it is a structurally impossible take because we know what real conversion looks like. we do not need to guess. it has been modeled across combat sports, boxing, ufc, and multiple transactional platforms. the ranges are stable: 👉 1–3% → normal 👉 3–5% → strong 👉 5%+ → elite and rare, reserved for events with massive cultural heat and crossover appeal those ranges were established when the infrastructure was intact, pricing was more controlled, piracy was less frictionless, and distribution was more centralized. today, every one of those conditions is worse. pricing is fragmented. you have $49.99 standard, $39.99 through max, international pricing accessible through vpn, and a piracy environment where high-quality streams are available instantly. that is a high-friction, high-leakage system. so conversion should compress, not expand. now apply real-world conversion to your real audience: 👉 800k × 2% = 16k buys 👉 800k × 3% = 24k buys 👉 800k × 5% = 40k buys that’s your range. 👉 ~15k–35k realistic 👉 ~20k–30k as the most defensible center 👉 ~40k reasonable given the strength of the headliners now invert the math, because this is where the claim completely collapses. if you want to justify 143k buys at even a healthy 3% conversion rate, you need roughly 4.7 million engaged viewers. so the question becomes extremely simple: where are the other four million people? 👉they are not on linear television. 👉they are not on max. 👉they are not showing up in any digital engagement metrics that correlate with that level of demand. 👉they are not visible anywhere in the ecosystem that would need to exist to support that level of conversion. 👉👉👉👉👉 they do not exist. and this is before you even account for the trend line moving the wrong way. you are not converting off a growing base. you are converting off a shrinking one. you are not building urgency. you are losing reach. that matters, because conversion does not happen in a vacuum. it happens on top of momentum, visibility, and audience expansion. when those inputs are declining, conversion does not spike to historic highs. it compresses further. the biggest fights in the world are no longer relying on ppv as their primary distribution model. they are moving to platforms that guarantee reach and revenue up front. the most recent example should end this conversation for anyone actually paying attention: netflix just locked tyson fury vs anthony joshua for a major global fight this august. that is one of the biggest possible matchups in boxing. in any previous era, that is a premium ppv event with massive buy expectations, heavy marketing, and a full transactional rollout. instead, it is going to a subscription platform. why? because the economics are better. the reach is global. the friction is lower. the platform values engagement at scale over one-off purchases. that is where the industry is. so when you are being asked to believe that a weekly wrestling property with a ~700k linear audience, declining into its ppv window, is somehow generating six-figure transactional buys inside a subscription platform in 2026, you are not just being asked to accept a number. dave is asking you to ignore the direction of the entire market. and that’s before you even bring in platform behavior. max is not a live sports-first platform. it does not behave like one. when max has something it cares about, it promotes it aggressively. homepage rails. push notifications. press releases. talent integration. cross-platform amplification. you do not see that here. and that absence is not accidental. platforms surface what they want you to see. they amplify what drives engagement and revenue. if ppv at scale were happening inside that ecosystem, it would be visible. it would be part of the narrative. it would be monetized loudly. it isn’t. and that’s before you even factor in the other variables i’ve broken down in detail before: 👉 i’ve already debunked why the max numbers people are throwing around don’t make sense 👉 i’ve already explained what the linear number actually represents and what it doesn’t 👉 i’ve already mapped the media rights landscape in 2026, including how these properties are being evaluated ahead of the paramount–wbd merger the wsj reports could close as early as july so when you’re being told by dave that a property with a ~700k weekly audience trending downward into a ppv window is generating six-figure transactional buys at premium pricing inside a subscription platform in 2026, you’re not being given data. you’re being given a number that does not reconcile with anything else in the system. that’s math. stop it - 45

HERMES AGENT RUNS MONITORING, RESEARCH, LEAD DETECTION, AND COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS ON AUTOPILOT. AND KNOWS WHEN NOT TO SPEND YOUR TOKENS. the biggest unlock most people skip: Hermes cron jobs can decide ON THEIR OWN whether the LLM should wake up. WAKE AGENT — THE $0 GATE every cron job can run a Python script first. the script checks: did anything actually change? nothing changed: → script outputs {"wakeAgent": false} → LLM stays asleep → zero tokens spent something changed: → script outputs {"wakeAgent": true} → agent wakes up and handles it three gate patterns from official docs: → file-change: compare file mtime to last run. no change? sleep. → external-flag: another process drops a ready file. no flag? sleep. → HTTP-check: ping a URL, diff the response. same as last time? sleep. real example: monitor AWS costs every hour. script pulls current spend from AWS API. no spike? agent sleeps. zero cost. costs jump 40%? agent wakes, reports to Slack, takes action through Stripe MCP. you run 20 monitoring jobs a day. 18 of them find nothing. you pay for 2. NO AGENT — PURE SCRIPT, ZERO LLM some jobs don't need reasoning at all. TLS checks. uptime pings. disk alerts. heartbeats. hermes cron edit --no-agent --script check_health.py script runs. stdout goes straight to Telegram, Discord, or Slack. no LLM involved. flip any job between modes: hermes cron edit --agent # add LLM hermes cron edit --no-agent # remove LLM free monitoring that lives inside the same ecosystem as your agent. 4 MORE USE CASES THIS UNLOCKS: COMPETITIVE ANALYSIS weekly cron with script that diffs competitor pages. agent only analyzes actual changes. updates your tracking file and PRD skill automatically. PRD AS A SKILL save product requirements as a skill, not a document. skills load on demand into fresh context. documents drift. skills stay sharp. CONTENT REPURPOSING hand a video script to the agent. it drafts X and LinkedIn posts in your voice. writes to a review folder. you approve via Telegram. LEAD DETECTION webhook monitors inbox. agent spots potential leads. drafts responses using your business context. schedules meetings from your calendar. the pattern across all of these: scripts handle the mechanical work for free. the agent only spends tokens on reasoning that requires judgment. comment CRON and I'll send you 5 ready-to-paste cron configs with wakeAgent and no_agent patterns. full Hermes SOUL.MD guide 👇

🚨URGENT Ohio is about to become ground zero for gas-powered data centers. But you can stop it. Ashville. New Albany. Millersport. Piketon. Four natural gas power plants, all within about an hour of each other, all proposed or under construction to power data centers. Individually they sound like separate stories. Together, they're a regional air quality crisis nobody voted on. These plants emit PM2.5 particulate matter so small it passes straight through your lungs into your bloodstream. It's linked to asthma, heart disease, stroke, dementia, and complications in pregnancy. And PM2.5 doesn't stay put, it travels hundreds of miles on the wind. Wednesday, August 19th, at 5 PM, the Ohio Power Siting Board is holding a public hearing at Teays Valley High School in Ashville. You don't have to live in Ashville to show up. If you live in Lancaster, Circleville, Chillicothe, Columbus, anywhere in this radius, you can speak. Everyone gets 3 minutes. Wear red. Bring an 8x10 photo of a kid you love, because that's who's going to be breathing this. Sign in early. Say your name, where you live, and how this affects your family. That's it. That's the whole speech. Can't make it? Email the Ohio Power Siting Board directly, address on screen and file a public comment. This is still an open case. That means it's still winnable. But only if the board hears from us, not just the companies filing the paperwork. Case number 26-196-EL-BGN. Show up. Speak up. Share this. Teays Valley High School. Main Cafeteria. 3887 State Route 752, Ashville, Ohio. 5 PM. Email your public comment to [email protected]. #Urgent #Ohio #datacenter #gaspowered #ashvilleohio

In a CNBC interview a few years back, Warren Buffet relayed a story of a time shortly after he and Bill Gates first met. Gate's father asked a group of roughly 20 people to write down on a sheet of paper the one word that they thought accounted for their success. Without seeing what the other wrote, both Buffet and Gates chose the same word: Focus. With this in mind, I wondered: How they would advise someone to choose what they place their focus on? In search of this answer, I ran across an article by author Scott Dinsmore which describes Buffet's 5-step framework for narrowing your focus to what really matters: Your "Avoid At All Costs List." The story is framed as a conversation between Buffet and his pilot (no idea if this is actually what happened) but you'll get the point nonetheless. Here goes: Buffet jokingly said to his pilot: "The fact that you're still working for me, tells me I'm not doing my job. You should be out going after more of your goals and dreams." Warren then asked his pilot to take the following steps: (You should do the same) • List your top 25: Make a list of the Top 25 things you want to do over the next few years or in your lifetime. • Choose your top 5: Review your list and circle the Top 5 items that are most important to you. This is critical––you can only pick 5. • Make a plan: Now that you have your Top 5, it's time to make a plan. How will you start working on these? Who do you need to enlist help from? When can you start? Hint: the answer should be now! • Know your priorities: Now that you've made your Top 5 plan, let's talk about the other 20 items on your list: Buffet asked his pilot, "What is your plan for completing those?" The pilot stated that he word work on those intermittently, as he had time, since they were not part of the Top 5. To the pilot's surprise, Buffet said: "No, you've got it all wrong. Everything you didn't circle just became your 'Avoid At All Costs List.' No matter what, these things get no attention from you until you've succeded with your Top 5." •Be ruthless with your Top 5 list: I think most of us would have probably answered Buffet in a similar manner to his pilot. I mean, those other things are still important, right? Well, according to Buffet (and seemingly Gates as well), the ability to focus on the few things that are the most important to you––what you really want––is the key to outsized results. Letting yourself be distracted by the 20 (less important) things is why you never reach your potential on the 5 that matter the most. For someone like me (with more ideas than time) this exercise was extremely helpful. Take 20 minutes today and write out your own list and see what you come up with. You might be surprised at the results.

WARP SPEED: EPISODE 5 - starring Varunram Ganesh, Founder of Lapis Varunram Ganesh The next generation of 20 year olds are going to default to LLMs for search. Varun is building Lapis into the most accurate AI search analytics platform. They are part of Y Combinator F25 - 1 day away from demo day with a countdown clock on his desk. The insight: people are already defaulting to ChatGPT over Google. As time goes on, more leveraged decisions get made through LLMs, not search engines. "So many people are searching on Google, they're going to be searching on ChatGPT. Why aren't people knowing where they are on ChatGPT?" Lapis tells you exactly what a human will search for your website to show up in AI. And unlike Google, it's not about ranking positions - LLMs reason differently. On Warp: "I don't even think about payroll. Which is just to say Warp is such a good product that I just don't think about it. No spam emails. No upsells. It's just so smooth." In this conversation: (0:00) - Shift from Google-style search to LLMs: “More leveraged decisions are now made through the LLM.” (0:15) - What Lapis does: the most accurate AI search analytics platform. (1:15) - YC intensity: six weeks from Demo Day, rapid feedback loops, constant customer conversations. (2:00) - “The hardest part of running a startup is the most boring stuff.” (2:41) - How AI search differs from Google search. (3:23) - Building a company through trust. (3:51) - “Every founder said, ‘Check out Gabriella Warp - a genuinely friendly solution. (4:02) - Big providers needed six weeks just to get set up. Here’s a great example of how propaganda is abused online to fuel authoritarian narratives, or just for money (as YouTube, TikTok and Twitter all pay for views) Many people are talking about violent protestors setting “brush fires” The videos you see will show a two second clip from this video, and then cellphone footage from larger brush fires from the LA wild fires earlier this year. They cut off the fact that in this video, you see a protestor dumping water onto the small fire in the empty lot, and others with water bottles coming to help, after some young hooligans set fire to bushes in an empty lot with a firework. It was reported on Frontline Wildfire, but by the time LAFD got on scene the protestors had already put out the flames, and so it wasn’t listed as an LAFD incident. The LAFD puts out status alerts on *ALL* fires they respond to. And Frontline Wildfire is a joint public citizen and government data source tracking *ALL* active and recent brush/wild/forest fires in California. You can literally check for yourself if “the city is on fire” from multiple data sources - and guess what?! It’s not. During these protests vandals have: -Set one car on fire -Set off fire works -Set one piece of debris on fire on a highway -Set a bush on fire accidentally with fireworks in an empty lot (which was put out by protestors) -hit cement pillars with hammers (wtf?) And the idiots that did those things, should absolutely fucking be arrested by the LAPD, and many of them have been. The vast majority of protestors, and all protestors who actually care about the cause, are peaceful - so peaceful, that the LAPD (who loves to break out their riot gear and get overtime pay) has said the protestors are peaceful. But that doesn’t sell. That doesn’t let goons exercise power. That doesn’t let foreign governments stoke political divide in America to keep you distracted. And it doesn’t let clickbait farms who pay their rent on your outrage, earn from virality. So they clip together some current footage, with old footage, or they get one bad looking angle, and play it again and again, They shout at you to be afraid, and they hope you’re too dumb to check the facts yourself. Don’t let them profit from your fear. Don’t let them strip away other people’s rights, based on fear. Because you never know when the tide shifts and they’ll come for your rights. At that time you’ll hope other people don’t succumb to fear and misinformation. Get the facts.

Prince Harry has officially crossed from being a walking contradiction into something far worse -an outright embarrassment to the very causes he once claimed to champion. This latest development isn’t just another headline in his never-ending legal circus. The charity he co-founded, Sentebale, has now sued him for libel. Let that sink in. A charity he built to help vulnerable children in Africa is now dragging him to court. Sentebale was supposed to be one of the few things Harry could point to as meaningful work. It was rooted in something genuine, tied to his past and his mother’s legacy. But even that has now been poisoned by infighting, ego and what looks like a complete inability to handle disagreement without escalation. He didn’t just walk away from the charity after a fallout with its chair, he left behind a public mess and now it’s escalated into a defamation case. I think that says everything. Because normal people don’t end up being sued by their own charity. Especially not one they founded. That only happens when bridges aren’t just burned, they’re torched publicly, recklessly and with zero accountability. And that’s the real issue with Harry now - accountability. For years, he’s positioned himself as the victim. The press is the villain. The institution is the villain. The public is too harsh. There’s always someone else to blame. But at some point, when you’re constantly in conflict with your family, the media, the government, and now your own charity, the problem stops being everyone else. Harry, It’s You! Even more damaging is what this does to the causes he attaches himself to. Charities rely on trust, stability and reputation. Instead, Harry brings chaos. Legal drama. Public feuds. Headlines that shift the focus from the people who need help to his personal grievances. That’s not advocacy, that’s hijacking. And it’s not new. He’s been entangled in multiple lawsuits, dropped claims when things didn’t go his way, and continues to fight battles that often seem more about ego than principle. Now add this to the list: being sued by your own charity. At this point, the image is clear. This isn’t a man fighting for justice. This is someone who thrives on conflict, who escalates instead of resolves, and who leaves damage behind wherever he goes, even in spaces that were supposed to be about helping others. Harry hasn’t just lost direction. He’s lost credibility. And the worst part? The people who will pay for it aren’t him. It’s the causes, the charities and the people who were supposed to benefit from the platform he’s now turning into a personal battleground. That’s not just embarrassing. It’s irresponsible.

This is Chris Konawel talking about how bad things are getting in Gloucester County with the folks running unchecked Here is his statement from FB: "I have decided to file a lawsuit against Gloucester County and the Board of Commissioners for allegedly violating my rights as your elected official. For too long, Gloucester County has run unchecked and has done whatever it wants to residents, employees, and even elected officials. After the events of the January 2nd, 2026 Reorganization Meeting — where I, as a duly elected County Commissioner, was precluded from doing my job and not allowed to ask questions on the resolutions in front of me — enough is enough. Let’s start with this: The County decided its elected officials didn’t deserve to receive information on what we were voting on until just hours before the meeting. We’re talking millions of dollars in contracts, dozens of appointments that affect every resident in this county, and the hiring of a new County Administrator. An administrator making more than any Governor in the country — more than the VICE PRESIDENT of the United States. And we were told we couldn’t ask questions. Several members of the public came to speak and were told they could not. Public comment was avoided. The unelected County Counsel rammed the meeting through — and by the way, his own contract had expired and was on that very agenda. It is my job as your elected official to ask questions that will affect this county for years. My job is not to sit idly by and allow things to be shoved through to the detriment of the people I represent. Because of this, I filed a lawsuit alleging violations of the Open Public Meetings Act. I am doing this pro se — on my own. With no college degree or experience. I had attorneys willing to take the case, but I felt the County shouldn’t be charged thousands more because of this nonsense. I am not seeking monetary relief. I’m not even asking for my $350 filing fee back. I’m doing this because residents deserve better. Think about this: In the five years I’ve been on this board, there has not been a single “no” vote by anyone other than myself and Commissioner Nick DeSilvio. No debate. No discussion. Just rubber stamping. Those of you who are married — and love your spouse — ask yourself this: Have you gone five years without a single disagreement? How can five elected officials not have one disagreement in five years? We all know the answer — and it’s not good. And instead of defending his own actions, the County Counsel — who makes well into six figures — could not defend himself against me, a high school graduate with no legal training. So the County hired one of the most expensive political attorneys in the state to justify what happened. Think about that. That’s like trying to kill a fly with a shotgun — but I guess it’s easy when it’s not your money. All I’m asking the Court to do is declare the meeting improper and order that it be conducted properly — with questions and public comment — because residents deserve transparency. Court is this Friday, February 13th I ask all of you: share this. Let residents know what is happening behind the scenes. Let’s take our government back to the people — where it belongs. I promised you I would always fight for you and for what’s right. This is another step in that direction. Below is the link to the YouTube video so you can see for yourself. The meeting begins exactly one hour in. Watch it and decide for yourself. Thank you for your attention in this matter"

We had a fantastic, highly engaged conversation at the 4th ಮುಂದೆ ಬನ್ನಿ meetup in Bengaluru yesterday. When we locked March 1 as the date, we honestly did not realize there was a T20 world cup match the same day. But registrations were done a week in advance. We had 100 sign ups. Even after 8 to 10 dropouts, there were 15 plus people constantly checking if they could still join. And when we got there, the house was full. We started at 4 and the conversations went on till 8.30. 99% people stayed till the very end. That energy, that intent to learn and engage, is what makes this community special. A big thank you to Vittal for being at his candid best while breaking down how fundraising actually works in the real world. What VCs truly look for. The common mistakes founders make. The way he calls things out directly, without any sugar coating, was honestly refreshing. This is the kind of reality based conversation founders need, not generic gyan. We then had an equally engaging session by Jyothirmayee JT. Everyone talks about building a product. But when it comes to getting the first 10 customers, most founders fall into the same traps. Spend on performance marketing. Post online and hope customers show up. She took the discussion in a different direction. Product can come later. Market readiness comes first. What does real customer segmentation look like. Is the need functional, emotional, or impulse driven. What truly increases the probability of your idea working. It was intense and extremely practical. We then had 5 amazing founders from our community pitch their ideas in a 5 minute contest. What made me happy was the diversity. One from Ed-tech SaaS. One from automotive. One from food tech. One from a travel marketplace. And one building a SaaS product for the interior design space. The feedback they received from the guests was pretty sharp and actionable. Special thanks to Kailash nath, our chief judge, who was not keeping well but still made time to travel and join us, listen to every pitch, and offer thoughtful feedback. And congratulations to Sripad, founder of rentontrip from Mysuru for winning the best pitch of the day. Overall, the feeling of community was overwhelming. This truly feels like the beginning. We will take this across the state. We will hit more cities and build more conversations. A stronger entrepreneurial network from Karnataka that believes it can shape its own future. In an age of AI disruption, optimism alone is not enough. Founders need real knowledge, real do’s and don’ts, and access to honest conversations early in their journey. If we keep doing this consistently, I genuinely believe we will see many more successful entrepreneurs emerge from Karnataka over the next 10 years. A big thank you to Supreeth Kashyap from Wellbi, World of MysorePak, Serene Candle Studio, Malgudi Amruth Chaha and BrewLife for sponsoring goodies and beverages. Next stop could be Mysuru, Kalburgi, or Shivamogga.
