I disagree. You could have someone who loves you and is selfless towards you. The person isn’t perfect but will try to love you how he/she understands and it will feel good to you because he/she is intentional towards it.

to love is to be selfless & if God created us in his image and after his likeness, we also should love like him. A father laying his life for his daughter is similar to the God kind of love which is possible but we have become so selfish, the value of love is now transactional💔

I quite disagree...cus there are some people in their relationship that are truly loving every single episode of it because their partner is treating them exactly how they want to be treated, and even more. If you say it can't be done consistently, that i can agree to.

I don't see why I can't get someone to love me the way I want. I'll end up being frustrated if it is the other way. I don't expect it to happen quickly, but they should learn with time.
