Danse Macabre (1922), Dudley Murphy.
Man, Edwardian Batman was the shit…
Someone please slow it down a bit and fill in the missing frames
Why don't streaming services make these classics available for free. They deserved to be watched.
A film from 1922 is a primary source. How old is it now? (104 years.) No color, no sound, and it still grabs you. Ask your kid what a filmmaker back then had to do by hand that we do with a phone.
Playing the shit out of a violin while dabbing on the aristocracy
Old school sets and film tricks are so much more believable than modern day CGI
Why did white people stop being gothic. Wtf go back that was so cool
Pepper's Ghost.
This is more scary than horror films now
This was worth the $8 I paid for x this month. Thank you.
Danse Macabre. One of my all time favorite tracks.
Exquisite
Just like this...
What ghastly apparitions! My word!
🎥🎬 💥
They really just created psychedelic horror beyond comprehension back then
Ah, Danse Macabre. I remember going to Efteling a few years ago, and I experienced Spookslot. I'll never forget it!
Simple, however.. the details of the emotional depth in each scene is what adds weight to the feeling.
its crazy that they had to paint shadows frame by frame by hand and it still creeps harder than most horror movies now
Apart from the music, slop is still slop.. human or not
This looks like those Dark Fantasy AI videos! So cool! 😳
The skull picture I found on X...not mine...I had imagine create the videos from it...the marionette as well..all in the past couple of weeks. The end of the film looks like the skull. Elvis? Jesse?
Got every silent movie ever made on external hard drive
It's like a bad trip. 😂
Back when your father was just a sperm in your grandfather’s nutack
Love every bit of it
This is amazing.
🤩
They did some wonderfully weird shit in the silent era.
perfect old film work!
