I can think of 2 things that revolvers have on semis. 1. Caliber gets bigger 2. In Canada you do not need a firearm license to own an antique blackpowder pistol, whereas you need a restricted license and can no longer buy them in Canada without express govt permission after giving them a reason to get it.

Here in America you dont need a background check to buy a blackpowder revolver or muzzle loader 🤣 heck you can get it sent in the mail!
